Wonderful property, however, for a 5 star hotel the small details do matter. A few room service related items were definitely not 5 star level. And the youthful and good natured young guys taking care of luggage and parking while being extremely friendly and using Mr. And Mrs. shows good training, twice I was referred to as “dude” while informally speaking with them. This wouldn’t even happen at a Chik-fil-a!! The small room detail misses: 1) body lotion was rancid. Not an exaggeration at all. 2) on the 2nd bathroom counter, the body lotion bottle was empty and stayed that way all 3 days. 3) during out 3 night stay, on the check out day, after showering I noticed room service forget to put the robes anywhere back in the room. 4) For a (cold) mountain setting 5-star hotel to not have lap blankets for sitting on the room’s balcony is a big miss.

Nyla the manager was amazing! Resort itself and the surroundings are stunning. Language barrier with many of the staff was challenging at times. Expensive, but the place is unlike any other. I look forward to going back.

Overall Excellent
Overall, our stay was excellent. Almost all staff greeted us with a smile and asked if they could assist us. The facility is clean and has a lot to offer. Unfortunately, we had a forgettable experience with a bartender at Alpenglow. We asked for a mojito and the bartender said "I can get you mint". She made it clear we were putting her out. The mojito was not good, it lacked crushed lime and mint. We did not return to that bar.

Montage has a beautiful property in Big Sky but very ill managed. None of the front desk or staff were trained for a 5-star hotel (non-professional) and the Wildflower was very short staffed (2 latte and 2 pastries could easily take 30 min to be ready)!

Everything was amazing, all of the staff were excellent and gave amazing service the food and beverages available were excellent! So much to do there didn’t even go outside of the resort. Beautiful views and the rooms were amazing! I don’t have one negative thing to say about this place. Will be back for sure!!
