Come stay “amongst the Amish”. This comfortable 5-bedroom farmhouse offers you a home away from home. This home is perfect for your Amish adventure and valuable family time. Conveniently located between the villages of Bird-in-Hand and Intercourse PA, yet right in the heart of all Lancaster County attractions. You will enjoy a peaceful scenic farmland setting, with Amish neighbors who are a pleasure to meet. A charming white picket fence surrounds your backyard, with a chimneyia for family fun.
The 5 comfortable bedrooms await to provide you with a restful night stay. The three spacious full size bathrooms, one with a 10 jet whirlpool tub, will accommodate your family needs. A large country Flare kitchen with a cathedral ceiling will make your family meals bright and cheery. Then slip into your generous size living room, to relax or spend quality time with the family in comfort.
1st floor: bedroom with ensuite bathroom
2nd floor: 3 bedrooms & bathroom
3rd floor: bedroom with ensuite bathroom
Advertised rate is for up to 2 guests ($35 per night, per additional guest). Be sure to enter total number of guests on the booking form to get the accurate rate for your stay. The guesthouse is located on the Philadelphia Pike (rt. 340), so there is some traffic noise. The backyard looks out onto surrounding Amish farmland.
PLEASE NOTE: There's currently only one TV which is in the living room & has Chromecast & DVD only (no cable). Check in is after 4 PM, check out is by 10 AM. Unfortunately we're unable to offer earlier check ins, or later check outs.

Well-stocked Home
This was a wonderful place for Mom & 4 grown daughters to stay for a Girls Weekend! We bring food for our own meals and prefer to stay IN the entire weekend, talking and playing games. So it was very appreciated that the kitchen is well stocked for meal prep, and all manner of paper products and soap products are on hand. It is a charming old home and many finishes are well worn, so don’t expect a brand-new sterilized environment. But all the furniture was comfortable; bedrooms and baths had plenty of closets and hooks so that you can actually live comfortably during your stay (unlike some rentals). There are even a few board games in the TV hutch. (In the cold weather, we didn’t actually make it outside to the game room in the garage). The host responded very quickly when we had a minor question one evening. The property is on a busy road, but there is plenty of off-street parking for probably up to 6 cars. Just use white noise on your smartphone to muffle the traffic noise when sleeping. We all agreed we would happily stay here again!

Lancaster Overnight
8 of us stayed at this rental. We wanted to experience the nightlife of Lancaster without staying downtown. This house was more than big enough for us to all sleep comfortably. The older/Amish style felt like we were staying at our grandparents house. Instructions were clear and concise. I wish there was an option for early and late check in so we could have stayed longer. I would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable but far from luxurious
The listing description is not accurate. The house is comfortable & well-worn, not "luxurious, breathtaking, or upscale".Negatives: broken microwave door. Dishwasher didn't clean well. 2nd floor bathroom had mildew on the shower walls & ceiling. Refrigerator doors open on the wrong side & are hard to access when there's people at the table. Nothing to wash dishes with except used sponges (we later found one dish cloth in a bathroom). Kitchen drawers and cupboards were a jumbled mess. We couldn't find trash bags to change out the kitchen trash can when we'd filled it. Broken closet door in one bedroom; several other doors squeaked loudly. Mattresses are very firm and several of our party had trouble sleeping due to that plus the very prominent road noise; it would be nice to have white noise machines provided. We couldn't get the LR TV to work, and it was the only one (listing photos show TVs in 3 bdrms). The house sleeps 15, but the main floor was a very tight squeeze for our group of 11 (esp. the DR). Listing shows king bed on main floor, but it's a queen (king is upstairs). Lock box is on one of the two front doors but the key opens the other door (and this wasn't specified in our check-in instructions).Positives: plenty of parking, spacious rec room in the garage (not attached to house), friendly host, great location for our activities, proximity to Linden Coffee, excellent kitchen lighting, multi-zone heat controls, fans in every bedroom, clean bathrooms & kitchen.

Great place and host! Second time at this property and will definitely book again. Just is very accommodating! Spacious and fully equipped. Only negative thing is house is located on main road so can be noisy…but the overall pluses of the house makes up for the noise. Book it…you won’t be disappointed!!!

Grounds well kept and flowers beautiful. The lock box was easy to access. The house is on a very busy road. The noise from the road was obvious when trying to sleep. Table in kitchen large and spacious. The bathrooms were nice and on all 3 floors. Would be nice for queen bed on 3rd floor with 3rd bathroom. Parking at house very ample. The dishes we took out of the cupboard had dirty spots on them so we did a load of dishes and silverware before we used any of them. The TV does not have cable. It would be nice to have TV instructions on how to use chromecast. Thankful for the air conditioning which worked well.

Cluttered, like staying with family or friends instead of rental property
Lots of beds so this would be great for a large group. The location was easy to find but it's a very busy road. Noise wasn't much of a problem but we did have sound machines with us at night to help. For as many beds, seating otherwise is pretty limited but the furniture was comfortable and adequate. Dining space is tight and the only TV is in the living room. Backyard is beautiful. You can definitely smell that you're amongst farmland though! The main downside was the "lived-in" nature of the home. Drawers and cabinets were full of random stuff like someone just stepped away from their own clutter for someone else to come stay. Closets were a mess, beds are old and not comfortable. Overall, great location, nice yard, but it's like staying over at your aunt's house rather than a vacation property.

Well-maintained, clean spacious well located property. Proximity to the new Linden coffee was a bonus.(once a one room school house) Only drawback was closeness to fairly heavily traveled Road with a lot of truck traffic. Still can’t beat the location. It is smack dab in the middle of Amish country with many Amish neighbors and an Amish host.
