Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Poor soundproofing and VERY creaky floors
Sleep was interrupted. The floors creak so much (same reportedly with friends rooms in other floors)... so much so that someone walking across the floor next door made me think someone else was in the room.
Same with corridor as people walked back from a night out... even if they were quiet the floors were so loud.
Bathroom was quite basic and cheap.
Hotel was nicely situated for the NEC.
Staff were friendly.
Bar area was nice, although we were kicked out from the room when the bar closed, so no communal area you could chat with friends until later.
Nice village.
The room wasn’t cleaned, pubic hair left on the toilet seat and hair left on sink, sweets under the bed, front of staff not very friendly and approachable
First room we were given smelled of smoke, second room had a leaky toilet. All three rooms had cobwebs hanging from the ceiling.
No room upgrade because none were available, free drinks at the bar offered but we were going out for dinner.
Just stay at the premier inn...
1st thing we were told is that they're not going with Expedia anymore as they have issues. Apparently not always told about bookings. Very quiet in restaurant and bar on Saturday night.
The hotel is in a beautiful semi rural setting with plenty of free safe parking.
The rooms although a little dated are comfortable , clean and with good ammenities.
The hotels bar is welcoming and pleasant with friendly staff and good choices of drinks and food. Alex and another young chap ( not sure I got his name) were working the nights I was there. They were very friendly a great front for the hotel.
My criticisms would be the walls are incredibly thin and I could hear talking and coughing from next door and in my last night someone was snoring so loud I was unable to sleep.
Although I found most of the staff friendly and welcoming the lady and gentlemen who I encountered at reception on checkout did not leave a good lasting impression on me. Hardly gave me the time of day. Gentlemen never even looked at me. Was a shame after a great stay.
Fantastically friendly staff, good food, needed some more vegetarian selections, and the rooms were a little dated. Overall checked every box and at affordable prices.

Filthy bathroom
I have stayed here before and it has always been better than this time. The room was ok, but the bathroom was not. There was an old tampon left in the bin and it stank of urine.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Great value for money, in a nice location. Could do with a bit of modernising in the corridors and bedrooms to match the bar area and the breakfast buffet was a little cold and disappointing, but you get what you pay for and a hot shower and a quiet room was what I needed.
Very nice room great value for money nice and warm room. Wi-Fi was a little bit dodgy but maybe it was just a bad day for it room 137

The room i had was very cold and everything was very dusty. There was a heater in the room that was barely hanging off the wall and looked extremely rusted. Just wasnt a very nice room to stay in.
Nice top floor room. Very clean as was the bathroom. Nice view out across fields. Plenty of tea and coffee. Only thing to spoit it was the thin wall and creaky floor.
We liked the original windows and despite this and windows left open for ventilation it was warm
The glass shelf in the bathroom and the hooks on the bathroom door needed fixing
I booked a suite ( room 37) at the front of the hotel. The bathroom is absolutely appalling, damp, dirty, full of lime scale and with silver fish. The mattress was uncomfortable, the decor was beyond bad, so much so I slept fully clothed. I booked for 2 nights ) and at 9am on the morning after my first night I left. Appalling place!
We stayed in room 41
It must have been over the kitchen i was woken with banging and crashing every hour through the night i was totally shattered in the morning
Its a shame because i stayed before over the other side of the building and all was good hence why i returned but unfortunately would put me off now in case i got the same noisy room again
