The room was not great, found long hair on the pillow, leading me to believe the linin was jot washed after each stay. The person who let me in was very defensive about the facilities and regemental about the dos and donts, even though he could see i was staying over night for work. Will not be staying here again.
Arrived at a rzn down semi detached house. not a hotel. Almost went elsewhere. I arrived and was told to come back in an hour despite arriving within listed times. House smelled strongly of curry. No hot water or shower gel or shampoo or soap! I could go on but just avoid. very uncomfortable stay
It is a reasonably priced B & B in close proximity to Birmingham Airport so it is ideal for the no frills traveler who just needs a bed for the night before jetting off.
Excellent stay. Good communication. Friendly welcome. Comfortable, good sized and very clean room. No issues with shared bathroom. Quiet. Convenient location for my needs and excellent value.

Quite noisy road, so if like me you like to have a window open you might need earplugs.

Obviously they get a lot of uncaring customers since the rules sheet I had to sign upon arrival was really long with some unbelievable requests eg do not iron on the carpet or bed! The host did apologise but said they had had some really disrespectful young guests.
Quite soul-less if travelling on your own as there's no communal lounge or any contact with others, just straight upstairs and to your room. Fine for a biz trip though as long as you don't mind a shared bathroom.
If like me you need a bit of green space and fresh air, there's a large recreational area within 5 mins walk, just turn right and right again out of the property.
Lyndon House was extremely comfortable, it was one of the best nights sleep ive had, the room was huge with loads of storage. The owner was really friendly and helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. I left before breakfast so I cannot comment.
Some guidance, they only have 2 parking spaces but there is on street parking near by, shops and takeaways are a 2 minute walk. It is a shared bathroom which is really clean and there are no shoes allowed in the house, they have shelves in the porch to leave your shoes.
Unfortunately for me sharing a bathroom with strangers is a deal breaker otherwise this would be my number 1 choice when staying in the area
