We stayed here for 6 nights while visiting our daughter at UofB. The location was very convenient as it was near her residence. For the price, this was a great option for us. Nothing special but clean, quiet and comfortable. The shower/ensuite was adequate but showing wear and the shower did not drain well. The listing says that laundry is available but be aware that this is a laundry service and the rates are incredibly high! £11.50 to launder a single t-shirt!!! We did not use this service, although we had counted on it! Otherwise though, this was a good option for our needs.
Really convenient for activity at university sports centre. So convenient and great location, very peaceful surroundings, yet on convenient bus route in to town…
Nice clean modern hotel. Got there late around 10:15pm. Smooth check-in, nice bar. Clean room

There is a lot to like about this property, good location, clean room and the price was good. We did not mind the walk from the main conference centre reception, where the staff were very helpful. However, several things would stop me booking again.
On arrival we found that the lift was out of order and had been for some time, the entrance area carpet was covered in flimsy plastic walkway strips despite the dry weather. Don't have carpet if you don't want it walked on.
The room was overheated despite it being cold outside and no sign of the radiator being on. The windows were locked closed.
The bathroom was in dire need of an update, the shower tray was chipped and had multiple areas of rust.
Dripping tap accommodation was for a disabled person, no fan operation in the bathroom and the light over the mirror in the bathroom wasnt working

Fine for one night.
Our room was clean with a comfortable bed but overall the place was very dated.
The beige bathroom had seen better days, damage to the ceiling etc. Lift out of order.
Check in at the conference centre was friendly and efficient with free parking but a bit of a walk from the Peter Scott building.
It was fine for a one night stopover but if you wanted to spend any considerable time in your room, I'd pay the extra £20 for the main hotel.
Room was dated and just converted old student accommodation, bathroom was very small and inadequate. Disappointed with the stay as it looked nothing at all like any of the photos. Bed was ok but it was two singles pushed together with a big gap, TV was small and the room was very hot despite having the fan on. Would not have stayed here if I had seen the room first.
Perfect accommodation for a visit to the university. Quiet and comfortable and a good price. Room was good but the bathroom possibly needs a makeover, although I think we had an accessible room.
The Bathroom smelt of blocked drains, every time the heating kicked in the pipes rattled and the towel heater sounded like it was going to come off the wall.
Very comfortable room in Peter Scott House but bathroom was very cold and didn’t really expect all the mobility appliances and lack of a bath. However still comfortable

Ok but nothing special
Basic room is what looks like updated student accommodation, all meals are on other hotel restaurant not onsite, it’s only a couple of minutes walk but not fun is the cold/ rain.
The hotel is ideally suited for visits to Birmingham University. The University railway station is only a 10-15 mins (approx) walk away. Unfortunately, the ensuite bathroom was a bit dated and the shower tray had some cosmetic damage. The room was a bit too hot and the mechanism for the Roman blinds wasn't working properly. One of the bedside lights didn't work properly either. It was OK for a short stay.
Breakfast was served in a building about a 3-5 minute walk away. There was a great choice and the restaurant was very nice. You also had to collect your key from this building too.

Liked: Staff & service
The building smelled strongly of emulsion throughout the communal areas and in the bathroom.
The shower pan was chipped and stained, giving the impression that it wasn't clean.
