Cysgod y Graig, or translated "The Shadow of the Rock" is a beautiful little cottage within the historic slate mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, nestled in the heart of the incredible Snowdonia National Park. Renovated to a modern standard, this 2 bedroom cottage both serves as a perfect couples retreat or for a young family.
The open plan kitchen and living area comfortably houses it's guests, with a fully equipped kitchen to feast from, if not frequenting the towns restaurants only a little walk away. The living room comes with sofa, chair, TV and log burner to relax on an evening. Upstairs you will find the master bedroom, with comfortable double bed and second bedroom with a double and single bunk-bed, outside to the rear of the cottage is a fully enclosed patio garden with furniture which looks up the natural rocky hillside.
Locally, there is a staggering amount to choose from when planning what to see and do. Blaenau Ffestiniog is a bustling town with many stores, a historic church and friendly pubs and restaurants. Blaenau Ffestiniog also hosts it's popular railway, and the Llechwedd Slate Caverns and Zipworld only a short distance away.
Whether you love hiking, mountain biking and outdoor activities, or exploring the stunning coastline there is sure to be something for everyone. Mount Snowdon, or Yr Wyddfa to use it's proper Welsh name, is less than 20miles distant and the surrounding area offers plenty of walking routes and beautiful lakes amongst the mountains just waiting to be discovered.
Criccieth Beach, Harlech Beach and Black Rock Sands are all roughly 30 minutes away, and with Anglesey just the other side of the mountain, you'll be spoilt for choice.
