Stunning Holiday Home!
We just got back from a long weekend stay at Sandown and it was such a lovely experience! Immaculately clean and tidy on arrival, so much thought and effort had been put into making sure guests have all they need, and the finishing touches in the property are just beautiful. I just loved all of the ornamental pieces, the artwork, the nautical vibes running throughout the whole house and annexe… just a really wonderful place to stay, so homely and a pleasure to stay in. The photos just don’t do this place justice! Thank you!!!

Lovely Accommodation
Great accommodation for our family holiday. The location was central for us to explore Cornwall for the first time, and the house had everything we needed.

Family getaway
On first impression lovely spacious property in lovely little village. Our only complaint is the cleanliness which is not the owners fault but Vay Cay’s. The dishwasher was full of mouldy unwashed crockery and cutlery which must have been there weeks therefore not checked by cleaners. We took a frying pan out of cupboard to cook breakfast and it was dirty, three light bulbs needed replacing and the bathroom light not working, the wardrobe door in the master bedroom was locked and we were unable to open it , the sink in the family bathroom wouldn’t hold water , they left us two vases with dead flowers in which we found totally pointless and the welcome pack wasn’t worth bothering about, the filters in the cooker hood were thick with grease. We phoned Vay Cay’s and they sent out a maintenance man to unlock the wardrobe door but then it constantly kept swinging open he also replaced the bulb in the downstairs toilet but two days later it went again. The cleaners came back and done the basics ie the dishwasher and oven hood but nothing more. Such a shame about the cleanliness as it was a lovely cottage and we had a lovely time and we would definitely recommend the village pub The White Heart. On a final note the information folder needs updating as there’s no butchers or convenience store in the village anymore

Holiday review
We enjoyed staying in the house as there were extra personal touches which made a big difference such as the welcome box , spices and other products in the kitchen, shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms and washing power too . WFI was good and TVs in a number of rooms and also a supply of games and jigsaws to use too -will definitely come back to this house .

Second visit to Sandown
We have just returned from a trip to Sundown and it was as good as before. The house is stunning and super homely with everything you need and more. It's perfect for families, couples and small groups of friends. Even if the weather isn't perfect there is still loads to do close by. Will be back again this year!

WoW WoW WoW!
This place is amazing!! It’s beautifully decorated. Everything just looks perfect. Everywhere you look there’s some little element that makes you smile. It really does have everything you could possibly need, they really have thought of everything. Everything is good quality and well maintained. WiFi was excellent and I liked the fact there was a good size tv. Plus others around the house. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and with some basics provided as well as a welcome box! The bedrooms were lovely and extremely comfortable beds and very soft duvet. Good pressure in the showers and roomy!! Everything really was just perfect. Good instructions in the booklet especially with the recycling! Key pad entry was probably the most difficult about the whole place.!! Lol. The pub down the road was frien Fdg my and welcoming... and very hot! Large food portions and excellent beer! We bought bacon from the butchers for breakfast on the last day which was excellent. Unfortunate the cafe wasn’t open Monday-Thursday so never got the opportunity to try it out. Shop stocked basics and fresh bread, eggs etc The village was ideally situated for Padstow, Port Isaac and Tintergel Castle. We loved this place and having seen some of the other locations of properties we looked at we definitely made the right choice. From start to finish the hosts were attentive and helpful. I really cannot praise this property and the owners enough! It was just perfect for us and they could not have done anything different Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us. 😊

Top stay in st teath
I have been to Cornwall many times. It really is a glorious place. After a lovely stay at Sandown & the village of St Teath, I can’t wait to go back. The house is full of character, tastefully decorated, spacious & well equipped. The owners have put a lot of thought into making it a home from home. It is a very short walk from the White Hart pub, which is very traditional, does good food and is very friendly. Also very close is the cafe, again very friendly with lovely food & coffee. St Teath is close to many places of interest & beaches, which is really convenient, but it is a lovely quiet place to return to after a day of exploring. We will definitely be returning.

I didn't want to leave!
As a regular visitor to Cornwall over many years I think this is simply a gem. The house is charming and beautifully decorated. I've just been to Copenhagen which in thought was ok but there's no comparison. I stayed in the annexe which proved to be a great quite space. The location is just perfect for me. A short drive to so many great places but just far enough away from the busiest spots so great to get back in the evenings. The village is good too with old style pub which does wonderful food. There's a nice cafe and shop so convenient just along the road. I really like the old church in the village too though didn't make it to a service. It's obvious I'll be coming back.

The property is tastefully decorated with all the comforts of home. The owners have it well equipped for all your needs. St Teath is a lovely village and it was a perfect location. The pub is very friendly with lovely food. Plenty of lovely beaches within a short drive. We would definitely visit again and will be recommending this property.

Perfect holiday cottage. Spotless and beautifully decorated. I know it's very cliched but Sandown really did feel like home from home and everyone commented about how happy they would be to live there! All of our party loved everything about this cottage. The owners have really thought about everything you could possibly want and have created something special, we loved all the little touches. St Teath is a lovely village. Peaceful but with a great pub (with amazing staff and food), local shop and cafe. Very friendly people too. I would absolutely recommend this amazing cottage and would happily book again.

A Cornish treasure
We had a lovely week in this charming property, finished to a high standard. The property offers very cosy bedrooms, good space downstairs and a lovely Cornish atmosphere. There is plenty of room for a large family and all the amenities you could possibly need for a great holiday. Whilst it is not on a Beach, we found St Teath to be a great location. The owners are very helpful. I would highly recommend.

Lovely cottage, clean and cosy with everything one might need within easy reach of great locations.
My family and I have just returned from a weeks stay at Sandown Cottage. My overall view of the cottage is that it is very hard for me and for that matter the rest of my family to find a single negative thing to say about it. It's very clean throughout with good quality kitchen equipment, bedding, towels and interior furnishings. Its warm and cosy and has a lot of character. The upstairs bathroom has a lovely deep bathtub where you can soak in after a long day walking along the stunning coast. The garden is nice and private with a sun deck where you can sit and enjoy coffee. Now for the outside: My kids decided, not long after we arrived, to take a walk to the coast. They came back later quite amazed and my 19 year old daughter said it was the most beautiful place she had ever seen. Apparently it had been a bit of a walk but according to them well worth it. That week we went to many stunning places but that view from the coast closest to the cottage remained her favourite! There are many great locations not far from the cottage, we managed to visit Port Isaac, Boscastle. Polzeath, Tintagel and Padstow. In Port Isaac we managed to see Doc Martin and Louisa in person which was quite funny after having watched the television series. In Polzeath we were amazed at the amazing beach there and we had a truly unforgettable hike along the coast side. Amazing beauty and views, perfect contrast to busy London life. We also visited Lands end which was about 1 1/2 hours drive and while we we down there a beautiful garden; Trengwainton it was called if I remember correctly. Overall we sll had a great week. The cottage was, well for us, perfect and people were friendly and smiling. Camilla
