The street to the hotel was closed off the day we arrived but the driver from the airport called the hotel and they sent a porter to take our bags to the hotel. That was our introduction to the personal service you received at the hotel. We asked the front desk people to recommend restaurants and make reservations and we were always happy with the choices. We also dined one night at the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent. We thought the cleaning staff were particularly good. The room was comfortable (although an elevator and two sets of stairs to get to it -- not a problem but speak up if it won't work for you). The hotel is walking distance to just about everything of interest except San Luca but it is close to the San Luca Express. Altogether we were very happy with our stay there.

This hotel is an absolute gem. Everything was perfect. The location, our host Frederica, the beautiful breakfast all ready when you walked out of your room, the self serve bar cart in the beautiful open space. I could name so many other aspects that were just perfection. This was one of my most favourite hotels in Tuscany. Tiny bit tricky to find, but if you follow the directions to a tee, you’ll see a flagpole on the building. Stop the car.. go inside and Frederica will help you go park. It’s worth the little bit of effort. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

Hotel Corona d'Oro was amazing when you walk into the lobby it was like WOW just beautiful. Luggage was taken when my room was ready the lady from the front desk escorted me to my room showed me around then my suitcase was delivered. The hotel was a home at one time with 40 rooms you can picture parties of the nobles there. You are in walking distance of the major attractions very quiet. Great breakfast love the custard filled croissant disappointed it was there on the day I left but will remember it. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your beautiful city.

The hotel was very nice and in an amazing location, in the center of town, right next to the Quadrilatero area with lots of shops and restaurants, and only a 10-minute walk to the train station. The Classic Double Room, which was very nicely decorated, was quite small, with very little room to open bags and suitcases. Although the room was on the first floor, it was a few steps down and a maze of hallways away from the main lobby. The view was of the nearby building's wall, and the bathroom was small, with a tiny cylindrical shower stall. Overall, we found the cost to be very expensive for what we got. It was definitely not a good value.

Our 2nd stay here & as we had been impressed before we booked again for this stay. Lovely & efficient welcome on arrival, bags promptly brought to our room which was kept spotless with daily cleaning. Bottle of Prosecco in our room to welcome us which we appreciated. Unfortunately Breakfast had not improved, when you are a new Guest you should be shown to a table & the process explained, we saw many people unsure who waited but were not approached by staff, hot food had been left to get cold so was inedible. We asked for milk in our room but had to ask everyday & in this standard of Hotel this is disappointing & very surprised to be charged for it. In conclusion we felt our stay was overpriced & as explained, in some areas, service had deteriorated since our previous stay, not sure we will stay here again?

If you are driving it’s almost impossible to find your way with the directions. GPS doesn’t help .,, and someone had to come find us and lead us to the garage on narrow street to park.
