We Loved the Bell Man. He saved us from parking and elevator issues, with good humor! He carried our bags and made certain that we were on a good path to get to our room. Next day... He's storing our bags and very receptive to taking pictures of me and my good friend, who just survived breast cancer. Everyone there was simply AMAZING! But this guy was very SPECIAL! I'm a business owner of Visiting Angels in West Springfield, MA. I'm telling Management at the Royal Sonesta in Cambridge MA... This gentleman is exceptional and deserves either a big BONUS or A Big Raise in Pay. I have 100 employees and have been in business for 25 years. If this gentleman was my employee, I would promote him. He's very special!

The Royal Sonesta has a great location and is a very solid business hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the service was good. Room rates seemed high the weekend I was there and the daily resort fee is not a good value. Otherwise, I was very happy with my stay.

Rooms were small and noisy. Our original room (408) was right beside the elevators—which were extremely loud. The staff changed our room on our second night, and the new room was marginally better, but still lacking in comfort or soundproofing. Shower was very small. Bed was uncomfortable, with 2 extremely flat/soft pillows. When we called the front desk to request 2 additional pillows, we were advised that they ran out.

Good but could be better
Good hotel and friendly staff. It was an expensive stay at the hotel ($1200/2 nights in a twin). It's a good property but parts of the hotel are dated and on top of that they mixed up my laundry and I didn't receive it before I left. Thankfully the issue was resolved but it's still not great.
