This was our 4 stay at this location in 2 years. At Check in we were not offered, by the very unfriendly staff, of our complimentary upgrade. The AC did not work. Could not fix after multiple attempts. The 5th floor smelled like a dead body was rotting for days the entire stay. We were told by the nice maintenance person there was a leak and it was MOLD! An old mini fridge sat in the hallway by our door the entire stay. The very unhelpful and dismissive front desk attendant was informed, stated she would ask to have it moved and never did. We were offered to move the night before our 7:30 check out. Not acceptable and we will NEVER stay at the Bostonian again. All front desk staff seemed as if we were bothering them and we no help at all.

Check in was done at home but then charged us $50 upon arrival for early check in. Front desk was consistently rude and dismissive. Everything was an upcharge. We stayed in a corner room the size of a closet with absolutely no view unless we paid $39/night extra (we did not). The fridge only accommodated items for purchase…it was an extra $20 for a regular mini fridge. We requested ice as the ice machine was shut down; no ice was ever delivered. TV remote was glitchy requiring you to unplug/plug in TV. The best thing about this property was its location and it was quiet. Would NOT stay here again.

Right in the middle of old town, walkable to restaurants and sites. Our flight was early morning, so the staff made sure our car was parked in the turnaround, super sweet. We ate dinner at the hotel and it was good.

Boston’s Best
This hotel is perfectly located to see Boston. Next to Faneuil Hall and Quincy market, everything is in walking distance. The staff is excellent, the facilities are clean, we really enjoyed having a fireplace in our room. This will always be our hotel when we go to Boston. Worth every penny.

We checked our bags with the bellman and sat in the lobby to answer a few emails because we were early arriving. The clerk came over to say we could access our room early. When I got the bill this morning we were charged an early checkin fee!!! That is not right. Never agreed to an early check in fee.

The hotel is in an amazing location however, the millennium room which I had was an oversized room with a living room. However, the room needs updating. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom, the carpet had visible stains and worn, the living room had a huge table that was almost like a conference room table and didn’t match the other furniture. There was an old scratched mini fridge that looked like an eyesore. The door to the room was rubbing and needed adjusting. The bathroom sink appeared to be clogged and draining improperly.
