DO NOT STAY HERE. It's dangerous. A guest was recently robbed at knife point in the middle of the night after someone broke in to their room while they slept. There are big padlocked security gates and broken glass cemented to the top of their fence to try to stop break in's. The room was dirty, front desk bloke very rude, office smelled discusting, bed hard as a rock, pillows flat as pancakes, no dooner inner & no top sheet, bedding was dirty and underlay had pee stains on it, shower rose was gunked up with calcium or lime, missing cutlery, no plates, bathroom drain was just gaffer taped down, poorly maintained buildings. And with all that said...the price was horrendous (with hidden extra fees charged to my card) - clearly price gouging. NEVER EVER AGAIN.

This is a convenient stop in Bourke. Some care of the grounds is required and the bar needs a service (beer not cold enough and the taps over gased). The pool was clean and a saviour for the hot days and nights. Host was friendly and great to talk too.

We stay here on our travels Nth and Return. Friendly staff, good stop over: room clean: air con/ tv/ microwave ( needs plates,cutlery etc) outdoor furniture needs update: nice pool, safe and secure location: grounds need attention (untidy) : needs a bit of improvement for $$s charged: will stay again next time

Just don't!
While the shower was hot and the bed was massive, it was like sleeping on concrete. I didn't know mattresses that hard were even made. Not convinced the sheets had been washed since the last occupant as there was clumps of hair in them that were a completely different colour to ours. Was advertised including breakfast but no breakfast was available. Definitely not worth the high price point we were charged. Even had what i assume was a card fee added as what was charged on my card was higher then advertised.

At first glance the property looked good but it needs a lot of attention to charge the rates they do. Patio had broken boards, 1 mug 1 set of cutlery for 2 people. flood light outside room must be on a sensor as it was on/off all night. when we booked it stated free breakfast but no breakfast was supplied.

Description of accommodation is totally incorrect. No separate dining area - there was even enough room for them to supply a table. Only chair supplied was dirty and stained and crockery (when I found it) was all mismatched and unsanitary.

This place is shocking! Mess everywhere! Door wouldn’t even shut unless you slam them. Shocking area feel unsafe. Broken glass on fence to stop intruders. Breakfast no choice and stone cod. Kids playground unsafe. Pools an absolute mess. Restaurant you wouldn’t even be game to eat there. One of the worst places we have stayed and definitely not 4 star and expensive. Total rip off!

Sunshine Gardens Bourke Allegedly Resort, NO OXFORD HOTEL as NO RESTAURANT, NO BAR, NO POOL USE and NO WATER to multiple units, tiled veranda floor was unstable with trip hazard, at unit 12 could not wash hands in bathroom sink as no water, no notice prior at check in while collecting key, on webpage or on Wotif saying renovating. Heard water would be off for 10 minutes when I got to office to ask about it as another customer was asking about NO WATER as well at same time. Still not on after 10 minutes as said. I asked for a refund verbally and in an email to oxfordhotelau@gmail.com Friday afternoon 21 Jun 24 for $192.85 that was repeatedly denied after our 25 minutes on site seeing the false facilities advertised online, on booking site and not said at office. https://www.sunshinegardensbourkeresort.com.au/restaurant/ You would think someone would have apologized for the inconvenience of NO WATER of the Two adult males, one adult female, two grandparents and two children all sitting in front office talking in another language having their food while I asked for a refund.
