Cosy cottage, short walk to beach and restaurants

Welcome! A cosy cottage tucked away in a quiet lane just off Southbourne high street with its independent pubs, restaurants and artisan bakeries. 10 minute walk to the sandy beach through wooded gardens. High-chair, travel cot and bed guard rail on request. Retractable stairgate at top of stairs.

Open plan upstairs with beams and vaulted ceiling. A fun and sociable space! Two downstairs bedrooms with king (5’) bed and bunks suitable for adults as well as children (grown-ups bed linen also available). Bath and beach towels provided.

Small but lovely walled courtyard accessed through main bedroom. Fragrant honeysuckle in the summer.

Arrive at your convenience. Keys will be waiting for you in the keysafe at the cottage.

Free parking in surrounding streets. It can get busy, but you can usually find a space. Alternatively, Woodside Road public car park is just a minutes' walk away and always has space (£5 for 24 hours or £26 for a monthly pass).

We make sure the cottage is sparkling clean using eco friendly cleaning products. Linens are laundered at high temperature using non-bio detergent.

Kindly note we are a strictly animal-free, non-smoking property.

Welcome well needed break
A very well maintained property . We were surprised and delighted when we arrived to find the spacious living area on the first floor. It was light and airy and a pleasure to relax and chill out in . There was every appliance you could need to make your stay easy and comfortable. We liked the fact eco friendly soaps etc were there to use .Lovely welcome gift and Mel was very kind about cleaning up before leaving . The property was just off the main high street where there were so many places to eat and drink . Parking and unloading was easy and no problem . Sea front a short walk or drive and plenty of free parking or very reasonable if you had to pay. Highly recommended !

Great location, all as described
Great little house, been nicely put together, has all you need. Thoughtful owner, good speedy communications. Perfectly clean on arrival. Location is great, 10 mins walk through a park to the beach, loads of restaurants, shops and cafes round the corner. Already booked our next visit! (We were a couple with a 10 year old).

Great visit with family!
We have stayed here several times - great location (close to shops and train station). Lovely walk to beach. Feels like home in the evening with big table to have family over for dinner. Well stocked. Mel and Andy are great!

Lovely, open cottage
Perfect location for stay in Southbourne. Close to train, shops, bus stops and walkable to beach and two piers. Kitchen well stocked with equipment to comfortably cook all meals. Love it - already have next visit booked this summer.

Excellent location
Lovely upside down house with easy access to great coffee shops, pub and restaurants. Beach only 10 mins walk away. It was the little extras that made this such a great holiday home - new buckets and spades and activity books for the children and lots of goodies for us too! So much thought has been put into the details and what this place has to offer.

Perfect stay
This was a great 3 week visit with my daughter's family who live a few blocks away. Close to shops, transportation, restaurants and beach. Mel responded in a timely fashion and house is stocked with everything you would need. Great little house!
