This is the second time we have stayed here, whenever we plan a trip to Brenham this is the place we try to stay. We really enjoyed it.

Great location in a historic building
The building is right in the heart of downtown, easy to walk to everything. The Rex building has lots of character, the top floor rental is huge with a small balcony. Will definitely return!

Great Location and Comfortable
My wife and I have stayed here three or four times now and every time we see little new improvements. Any time we visit everything is perfect, this is a hidden gem and anyone wanting to stay in town really should check out this owner and his properties. But don’t schedule when I want to come to town, lol.

Lovely location and facility

The property is spacious and love the brick walls. Glad my mom did not go with me, as she would never have made it up the three flights of stairs. Was thankful for a later check out since it was originally 10 am. Checking in at 3 & out by 10 does not give much time to enjoy the space. Was not happy about paying a large cleaning fee(I am always tidy and clean up after myself), but to then have a message sent with the confirmation that I had to do my own dishes made me wonder why I paid a cleaning fee, in addition to an “other services fee.” For this reason, I probably would not rent this property or any other from VBRO again. I was supposed to be on vacation for my birthday and wished the cleaning fee could at least be refundable if I had to spend time cleaning instead of celebrating or relaxing. Side note, the couches and daybed cover were probably clean, but appeared stained and dirty.

Great Stay
Great location for enjoying downtown Brenham. Nice size space for a couple’s getaway. Clean, easy access & parking. Good restaurants, coffee spots, live music options and Brazos Valley Brewing all in walking distance.

Acceptable
- Description stated DirecTV - but only had basic cable, with very limited selection. - Bed was VERY uncomfortable. In fact, we ended up cutting our trip short so we could get home a day early and sleep in our own beds :-( - I would not go on a Mon/Tues again, as there are very little choices for dining options. Seems like Brenham shuts down after 5. Over all, it was pleasant, but probably would not stay again.

Perfect for a Roundtop shopping weekend.
This place was perfect for our group of 4 friends. Right off the courthouse square in downtown Brenham and easy to walk to shops and restaurants. The set up and communication with the owner was perfect and easy.

10/10 all around experience!
I stayed at this property for 10 days while working on a project in Brenham. The unit is very spacious, unique, super clean, stocked with all essentials, and I had the BEST sleep! The bed is very comfortable, and the room is super dark and very quiet! Loved the central location right in the middle of charming downtown Brenham, where I could walk to restaurants, shops, and nearby parks. The host is very responsive and accommodating. I will definitely return to this property! Thank you Peter and Elena for providing such a positive experience! 🙏☺️

Unique & great location
We loved that the building used to be The Rex theater (or cinema) plus maybe a drug store?? It was warm, clean, so spacious. A couple suggestions: - cookie sheet & hot pads for kitchen - a lock on half bath door - a note with checkout instructions in the unit Also, loved the balcony over Main Street & the plush towels

Small town getaway
Easy walk to everything in downtown Brenham. This is our second time staying. Peter provides water and snacks :) Place is clean and comfortable. We like the easy access to walk EVERYWHERE . We drove to the Stephen F. Austin state park. Always something going on in Brenham. We highly recommend the Brazos Valley Brewing company and Tabu! One thing we noticed is most restaurants close at 2:00 and reopen at 5:00 on the weekends. Also there aren’t any coffee shops open Sunday in downtown. But you can head over to Weikels or one of the chains by 290.

In town for a funeral and was able to relax in very comfortable surroundings. Bed very comfortable and nice linens. Coffee and snacks were appreciated. Management available for questions. The downtown streets were nice to walk and I felt very safe.

Mother’s Day Getaway
My mom and I met in Brenham for Mother’s Day fun. This place was perfect for what we needed. We enjoyed shopping and dining downtown. It was just like it said in the listing. Very comfortable for us, clean and tidy. There was bottled water in the fridge, coffee and snacks. I will definitely keep this property in mind for another stay in Brenham.
