So this was a cheap last minute option. Photos looked like a country pub so seemed ok.
Room out the back with difficult entrance and exit.
Pub itself old and rundown and there is a very strange smell in the room. Tv remotes didn’t work
Definitely should not be a 3* rating.
The property it self was very run down and poorly maintained. The room clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time the walls and carpets were completely filthy. The cups hadn’t been atall cleaned and the room was full of cobwebs and dust. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned there where pubes all over the toilet seat and the sink. The bath was filthy and plug hole was full of hair. For some strange reason they didn’t have a shower curtain or shower screen.
Very dated, rooms dirty, no food at the pub, shower never got hot, tv didn’t have all the channels but hosts were very nice people and the curry house two doors away was fantastic. Value for money though rooms were very cheap.

Maintenance Required
Clean and comfy beds. TV remote not working, shaving light not working, mould above the shower, peeling wallpaper, whining dog into the small hours, no milk for the tea and coffee 😡😡😡
Needed to stay in Cannington for a wedding. Not much choice of accommodation. The plus side- bar staff in pub friendly.
The down sides. Room not particularly clean. Had a circular window in room which had big cracks in it. The lighting was very poor. Didn’t even have a bulb in my lamp. Bedside cabinets thick with dust. Damp on walls. Blind in bathroom came off the wall. Husband has to fit back up. Shower not particularly clean.
Would I stay here again? Not a chance.

It was a cheap place to stay so you get what you pay for....the room was spotless but decor needed refreshing and outside areas needed attention but the nice friendly staff make the place what it is, plenty of hot water and heating so a big bonus...a spar shop within a few steps and plenty of places to eat locally to get a good breakfast or dinner. For us it was just somewhere to sleep as we was out from morning till a couple of pints before bed, eill defo visit again when in the area.

Nice hotel by shops and Indian
Banging Indian restaurant 5*one door down . Spar right next door. Pub was small but nice.
I recently stayed at the Kings Head. It was our venue for a Cannington College reunion. It was a long overdue meet up as we had left college over 25 years ago. The Kings Head was our local back then so it was fitting that it was our venue too. Many great memories were shared! The staff were great, especially as they had a busy weekend with a charity event going on and a live band to boot. The room was clean and tidy with a pleasant en suite bathroom. I was only there for the 1 night and for a short trip the room was ideal.
Not a very nice place to stay, the bed was not comfy, the room hadn’t been cleaned properly, I had cobwebs with spiders in the corners of the room ,the shower was very poor with a small amount of water coming through, it was noisy at night people was still in the pub at around 1am/2am not good when you have to work the next day,
Rooms above a pub. The beer selection was fine but the pub was very quiet when we visited even though it was Friday night. The pub garden seemed quite nice though. There was a problem with the electricity so the way through the yard to our room was very dark. The room was fine though the mattress was a very cheap one: it was not particularly comfortable and made funny springy noises when you moved. There was equipment to make tea and coffee in the room, but we had to go to Bridgwater to find a cooked breakfast.

Value for money
Room a bit tired and in need of some maintenance, but hey, at that price not a problem. For us it was comfortable and happy we chose this cheerful old Pub.

Noisy.
Little parking and main street so hard to find space nearby. It is a pub so expected some noise but the accommodation was next to the smoking and toilet area for the punters which made sleeping difficult as the bar seemed to be open til the early hours of the morning. Staff friendly but was shown the back way in through overgrown gardens and passageway so as to avoid the bar. Probably not a place to stay if you need sleep and not alcohol. But the beds were comfy! A bit overpriced without breakfast provided.
This accommodation leaves alot to be desired, especially the entrance and stairs to the rooms which was dirty and in poor condition. The en suite lacked adequate lighting.

A comfortable clean room, a little noisy overnight as lorries pass close to the window. Good supply of tea & coffee, easy to find and car parking opposite. Its an old building and the floors are a little uneven which is to be expected and the stairs are quite steep.
Don't stay here unless you're desperate. It's cheap but even then not worth the money. Wifi did not work, room smelt AWFUL and was freezing. Pub was unwelcoming and does not serve food, despite what the info says. I felt unsafe - room lock was flimsy. Bed was comfortable and room was not dirty

Place to stay near friends
The hotel was adequate for our needs, there were only odd slight problems. Despite signs to the contrary everyone else used the hotel parking, so we had to park on the road: and the pillows in the room were on the old side and had very little give in them.
Internet signal was intermittent.
Otherwise we were looked after well
