Walking ditance via footpath to Bruton will take around 40 minutes, Hauser and Wirth and Osip, however car is recommended. Within 10 minute drive Stourhead, The Newt, Castle Cary.
Bruton our closest town 1 mile, is the home of Hauser Wirth Somerset; international contemporary art gallery, approximately 5 miles away is the Newt; a renovated and reinvented country estate. To the North is the National Trust Stourhead Estate and the Capability Brown
gardens. Bruton offers Osip, The Chapel and Roth Bar and Grill Restaurants as well as a
number of cafés and takeouts. Basic provisions can be purchased in a couple of local
grocery stores. Please do visit Godminster Shop; home of Godminster Cheese, the shop
containing fine cheese, wine and other deli items. A little further away on the B3081 towards Wincanton, but still under 3 miles away, is Kimbers Farm Shop and The Kitchen at Kimbers; a real family farm shop with eatery on site providing excellent breakfast and lunch.
