I was surprised the first night, the body wash and the shampoo's refillable container were empty. The cleaning staff did not recharge de body wash neither on the second night and did not replenish the cooffe and complement sugar. In addition they left dirty the coffee cup that I used.

Hotel asked if they could arranger transfer from the airport to the hotel so we asked them for this service & sent our flight details as requested.But when we landed at the airport we waited but no-one was there to pick us up. So we phoned the hotel and they told us sorry no -one had dealt with the request at their end & no-one was available now unfortunately to pick us up. So we had to make our own last minute arrangements to get from the airport to the hotel. And when we arrived at the hotel, no-one at Check-in mentioned this, no apology to us in person, no acknowledgement, nothing, no room upgrade, no free dinner offer by way of goodwill, no offer to cover the transport fee, not even offer for late checkout. I thought that was really poor customer service. As a Radisson member we have stayed in many hotels - that has never happened to us before, usually when you request a hotel transfer & send flight details they don’t just ignore it, there should have been a goodwill gesture. We did get late checkout in the end, but only after I requested it, it was never offered. The manager said he had been contacted by Expedia after I relayed check-in experience and he could offer late checkout - but that was during my phone call to front desk to request the late checkout; he said he was going to speak to me, but he really wasn’t proactive at all. So that marred things a lot, didn’t feel like a valued guest at all I’m afraid. Location is excellent, rooms outdated but excellent view.

Lovely location, disappointing small details
The hotel is in a great location and the breakfast and bistro bar are excellent. However they say the devil is in the detail and that is where this hotel lets itself down. Tea and coffee making items not replenished until asked, a room safe with no batteries in it and after a bed linen change the old items were left piled on a chair in the bedroom.

We loved our stay at the Park Plaza! Our view over the Danube of the Parliament Building was a big plus (just a small fee to upgrade for the view) we arrived late on our first night so decided to eat in the hotel as it was one of the few places still serving, food was delicious and the drinks were too - and very reasonable. Staff in the bar were lovely and very welcoming and friendly. The Hotel is in a less busy location but we liked that as less crowded. It was very handy for several bars/restaurants scattered around. A 2 minutes walk to the chain bridge, 5 mins to the funicular which is a nice way to get up to the Buda Castle district. We would definately recommend the hotel, good nights sleep in a comfy bed and we heard very little noise from other guests and the windows provided great soundproofing from the traffic and trams that were directly in front of the hotel.
