Beautiful cottage with every need covered, we wanted for nothing as everything had been thought of. The kitchen fully equipped, stunning comfortable furniture and bedding was second to none offering a fantastic night's sleep. We we're amazed by the grounds including the woods [Note: the woods are on the adjoining land but you are free to roam them] and the benefits of the badminton and snooker hall. You should be very proud of a fantastic business in an outstanding location. Widemouth Bay being the best and a short distance away. Loved to experience this again and will definitely be back. Truly an amazing experience."

Large privately owned, cottage provided by experienced host (see our sister property VRBO property number 6548901 for reviews). Just 1 mile from the sandy surfing beach at Widemouth Bay and 3 miles from the famous Bude canal. The perfect base from which to explore the north coast of Cornwall and nearby Devon.

Situated on a very private, quarter of an acre, plot with parking for three cars and a large enclosed garden safe for children and dogs.

The property comprises a large, light, open plan living/dining/kitchen area with comfortable leather sofa and chairs, an oak dining table that comfortably seats 8 and a fully equipped kitchen with everything you will need whether you just want to make a sandwich or test out the range cooker by putting on a full Sunday roast. The kitchen includes a large American style fridge freezer with water dispenser and ice maker, microwave, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. The cupboards are full of stylish and modern china and glassware. Windows and french doors look out over the sunny garden which is large enough to capture the sun throughout the whole day ensuring you never miss a single ray.

The lounge has a large flat screen TV with Youview allowing access to all the Freeview channels plus catch up TV, BT Sport, Sky Sports and Amazon Prime. Bored with the TV? Put your feet up, open a bottle and stream your own music from your phone to the Bose sound dock, or watch a DVD. Looking for some "me time" curl up in one of the chairs in the separate snug area with a good book.

The spacious bedrooms are light and airy with two of them being dual aspect. Arranged as two king size double bedrooms (both with ensuite shower rooms) and two twin bedded rooms that share the family bathroom. The double bedrooms are large enough for a cot, if required (travel cot available at the property for your use). The double bedrooms have TVs and all bedrooms benefit from bedside clocks with both wireless and USB charging capability to recharge your phones whilst you sleep. All bedrooms benefit from high quality bedding and towels. In the double bedrooms the king size beds have multi award winning Emma mattresses and luxurious white bedding. In the twin rooms bedding perfectly coordinated with the other soft furnishings to give you that hotel feel. With a large bath sheet, matching hand towels and bath mats getting out of the shower will never have been such a pleasure.

The ensuite to the master bedroom has been refitted in 2023 and includes a walk in shower with no step.

The large bathroom has a full sized bath with thermostatic shower featuring both rain and personal shower hears. Perfect to soak away the salt after a long day on the sand or in the surf..

The laundry area features full size washing machine and a tumble dryer, and the garden has a rotary clothes line should you run out of clothes.

Equipped with BT Super Fast broadband and wifi throughout the property you will be able to stay in touch whether you need to work or just have teenagers desperate to remain connected. And if you do need to work make use of the professional workstation complete with a proper office chair, USB keyboard, monitor and USB charging ports - just bring your laptop or tablet.

Outside there is parking for three cars on the driveway with a gently sloping access into the front door with no step. The private gardens wrap around the property with natural hedging featuring embedded mesh to prevent your four legged friends from escaping through the branches and fencing to fully enclose the area making it safe for children and dogs. On the rear patio area you will find a large wooden dining table and barbeque just right for family meals. On the front patio you will find a table and chairs perfectly situated to soak up the sun even in the winter months. There is plenty of room to store bicycles, surf boards or other leisure equipment at the side of the property, easily accessed from the driveway by a convenient gate and right next to the outside tap that enables you to wash equipment down at the end of the day or before returning home.

On the adjoining estate there are wide-ranging facilities available for you to use including two tennis courts, football nets, sports barn (containing a badminton court, snooker table, pool table and table tennis, swings and a trim trail.

For little ones there is a travel cot, high chair, step, potty, toilet seat and child monitor all on site saving you valuable space in the car or in case you forget your own.

Great cottage for a group
We celebrated a family 60th birthday. Cottage was amazing. Big lounge kitchen dinner. Good bedrooms and bathrooms. Everything you could want and in a great location. Well worth staying. Additionally, we drove 10 minutes up the road to the wainhouse pub for food which was excellent.

Perfect Country get away.
Property superb for families and dogs. (Cottage doesn’t strike as “doggy” place though. Very clean and tidy and everything you need. Garden superb. Grounds and forest lovely. Walkable to Widemouth bay which is lovely (but no footpath on road) Host is a fantastic. Very helpful and understanding (one of our children accidentally broke a window whilst there, bit host was very nice and accepted accidents happen and helped us resolve it with no dramas) Totally recommend this property for a peacefu break. High quality, lovely surroundings, yet only a few minutes drive from Bude, Supermarkets etc. We will return at some point.

A great weekend had in this property. It amazed us how big it was when we arrived, and it was lovely and clean. It was perfect for our family holiday as we could bring our dogs and a bonus was being able to use the facilities such as the badminton, etc.
