A really great hostel with friendly staff. Excellent facilities and the private room was perfect, very comfortable. Good parking on site. The location too was incredible. Great views and walks.
The hosts were amazing & checked us in before check in time as we had arrived a couple of hours earlier than expected. This helped greatly & also helped out when we realised we had forgotten some food items at home! The hospitality was great however the en suite we were given was not the cleanest. Overall the hostel was quite clean and well looked after so I probably would stay again.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
When we spoke about the car parking, during our arrive, they said everything was full, and they could not do anything about it, only alternative to park the car in the village, that's ridiculous...how could be, if they had a free space, next to it, when we saw a tractor carrying big blocks of rocks to blocking the area? ??i dont get it...only 3 or 4 vehicles that i assume from the members of stuff, but still a lot of space available on that yard...
It was in a beautiful location, close to Mount Snowdon and in a great village. The hostel is clean and comfortable and very quiet. Simon on reception is great. Very helpful and gave us great directions as we were a bit lost. The breakfast, full English is fantastic. I highly recommend.
A nice place, not the comfort of the Hilton, but good enough for a few nights. The kitchen is great for sorting out your own food, plenty of cutlery and crockery and cooking things.
I stayed at the YHA at the beginning of April to climb the Summit of Snowdon. I failed by both the Llanberis Path and PYG on the first day because snow made the paths fully disappear after halfways. Fortunately, I reached the top by the Snowdon Range Path on the second day.
I had nice two day stay at the YHA. The staff are kind and helpful. I cooked my food in the kitchen which is clean and has all facilities I need. I also met several good people in the comfortable dining room. The bed room is clear and warm, so I can have two night's good sleep. I look forward to going back for the Tryfan.
Good location. Ideal for walks and outdoor activities. Well equipped kitchen. Friendly and helpful staff.

Good value and location
Good value given close proximity to Snowdon Mountain Railway and compared to neighboring properties. Stayed in a room with double bed and a private bathroom. Basic amenities but there is shared kitchen facilities if you want to cook your own meal. Mattress was not that great and needs to be replaced as it was warped.
My friend and I were hiking up snowdon last minute so we booked this hostel. Upon arrival the check-in woman was very nice and friendly however the rest of staff were terribly rude and dismissive of basic questions regarding the hostel.
The room was not cleaned well and we both got head lice and nits from sleeping at the hostel so it is safe to say we will never stay here again. The appearance of the room and bathrooms was old, dirty, and uncleaned.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Good but could do with an upgrade
The hostel is a short distance from the village High Street, about 10 minutes walk. It is handily situated for both the railways that run from Llanberis, the slate museum and other attractions.
Overall my stay was okay; maybe I was just unlucky. While there was plenty of space in the room I was in, I kept banging my head on the bottom of bunk above. I could only see one power socket in the room, which was broken. The WiFi only worked in the lounge and not in the cafe or the room.
There is a limited choice of food available, but it is very good.
Very kind and friendly stuff very hospital, no complained about the actual hostel but the area has so much flies and mosquitos and at night its ridiculous, we had to rush from our car to inside during nighttime
