Double Yree by Hilton
The Double Tree is always a good olace to stay when in Cairns.. It’s location is great and metres from The Esplanade and restaurants etc.. Easy to get to the boats if you’re going to the Islands of Cairns .

Hotel is near to the airport only 5 minutes by taxi. Taxi's at Cairns airport are difficult to find so pre book. Hotel is close to all touristy places and esplanade. Check in was very easy with front desk informing me of various options and facilities of the hotel. Hotel has a lush garden in the middle with a stream running through it. Building appears to be old but rooms are modern. Breakfast is amazing with pancakes, soups , regular items plus array of fruits with a very lovely young hostess taking out time to have chat with us making us feel comfortable . Hotel pool under renovation but can use the other property pool. It is not very close though. The day we wanted to go was also raining so we gave up the idea instead there is an infinity pool on the esplanade which is fun with great BBQ areas. City is surrounded by mountains so the views are very good. Travel desk lady very nice and informative.

what a great hotel to finish a month in Australia the hotel in cairns was clean friendly food was stop on especially the breakfast. unfortunately the pool was out of action but we were offered a alternative. cairns a great place to relax and doubletree great to stop

Good location. The room was a bit dates, especially the bathroom. The pool was under renovation which was not disclosed at the time of booking and I didn’t received a disclosure. Not cool.

Most poorly designed hotel bathroom I’ve seen. And I have traveled all over the world. Smaller than in a standard cabin on a cruise ship. Drain in the floor that rattled every time you walked into the room or sat on the toilet. So annoying!! And no face cloths.
