Lovely hotel - excellent location for all main activities in and around Cairo. The hotel is very secure - checks on all vehicles entering. Tour guides could find the hotel easily. Good choice of restaurants in the hotel. Live music in the bar in the evenings - very good. Room was comfortable.

Upon check in to my 'duluxe' double I was told there was a maintenance issue with my room and I would have to stay in an economy single for the night. The hotel refused to refund the money and only charge me for the economy single. I can only describe this as criminal. Do not expect the rooms to reflect the photos. It was very expensive for what it was, on top of the robbery. Highly recommended staying elsewhere.

The hotel located in the heart of downtown Cairo. Which make it a prime location. Close proximity to most Cairo’s landmarks. I also had a person experience where I forget my stuff at the hotel the staff called me and informed me right away . They kept the stuff I forgot safe sealed it until I send someone to pick it up

I would give this place maybe a 4 out of 5 if not for one staff member named Nasser who tried his best to make our life miserable during our stay. On arrival, he tried to sell us a tour of the hotel’s service or Tour of Pyramid for our group of 10 people. Initially he asked us for $250 USD, but after a while he said because we are 10 people we would need a guide and for that it will be total $350 USD. We were very shocked by this sudden price increase, so even though we had initially paid, we asked for a refund and told him we don’t want to use the hotels tour service. We had also asked for a receipt and he said he can’t provide one. It was all very fishy. To note that we ultimately got the tour and paid around $90USD total for our group of 10 people. What a scam! The worst thing was, once he couldn’t leech us with this scam- he made it his personal vendetta to make our stay there as inconvenient as possible- at least during the hours he was working. Once we asked breakfast to be served early for the next morning and he said it’s not possible. Interestingly when we woke up the next stay the other staff did serve us the early breakfast ( Nasser wasn’t around). We were expecting a money refund for a tour we overpaid for and we asked him if the hotel could receive the payment (we weren’t set up in the country’s e-cash services) and he said no. It was really no inconvenience at all, and is a service commonly provided by hotels worldwide. The worst wasn’t until later(cont)
