Staff is exceptional at this property, super helpful. But the property itself is tired. I had booked my parents a Deluxe Studio King Bed Suite. The room was not available the first night and we were placed in a standard room. No refund was offered or discussed as part of this downgrade. My parents went into a King Suite for the second and third nights, but it wasn't that great. If was a mobility access suite, so lots of open room to get a wheel chair around, but this was not requested as my parents aren't in a wheel chair. It seemed to be the only King Suite they had available. Tired. Old sheets and towels. This hotel is very convenient and I understand they are just starting renovations at this property so hopefully next time we stay, we'll see an improvement. Glenn

Staff was wonderful. The downtown location is both good and bad. Close to amenities and the Saddledome. Lots of homeless in the area. It was obvious the room wasn't vacuumed

3 of us stayed at the Fairfield where we found staff to be helpful and friendly, breakfast offerings were varied and tasty with good coffee, location was convenient and walkable, queen beds were comfortable, but the sofabed for sleeping was uncomfortable since the mattress was not thick enough not to feel the bars. Using one of the two comforters obtained from housekeeping as extra cushion did help. Also we had to use the desktops for two suitcases and luckily staff found a luggage rack for the 3rd suitcase. Closet was very small.

Please do not stay here. Horrible staff who will not help and are very rude. Our toilet in the middle of the night just randomly backed up and water and other peoples feces went all over the floor which we had to clean up. Loud noise rang from the toilet all night long and no overnight staff to help. The hotel refused a refund or any kind of ownership. We had to go across the street to a convenience store to use the washroom during our stay.
