I had a reservation for a standard king room and was placed in a double queen room. I asked for a the standard king room that was not pet friendly. The man assured me it wasn’t a pet friendly room. I checked the wall between the bed and side table and pulled out a clump of dog hair. I showed the man, who clearly lied. He offered a double queen room again. Long story short I reviewed the lies he told me about the booking and he blamed it on Expedia, but could not produce evidence. He stated, aggressively that I would have to contact Expedia if I wanted a discount. I waited in the lobby waiting to connect with a customer representative for Expedia. After 5 minutes he was able to produce a standard King size room out of nowhere. I was already in contact with Expedia and spent 40 minutes with a Chat bot and have to wait 72hours to get a response from the hotel.
Not worth the effort. Place is unclean and security on the doors are old style chain that has been replaced more than once.
Left our AirPods there, called hotel and they said they were not found. But we tracked them on Calgary Transit. Once front desk called the person who had them, they denied it and left them on the transit vehicle so now the AirPods are looping around Calgary. Asked for manager to call me (at 4:30pm) and he couldn’t be bothered to call me until they say, tomorrow morning. Any non-shady hotel would put the AirPods in lost and found or try and contact us.
Room heat cannot be controlled either and it as 25 degrees in the room all night. Didn’t call me back for 4 days - wouldn’t do anything for restitution or credit. Told me to take legal action. Horrible.
I think this hotel is well located but it looks a little old and small compared with the online info in its web site. They need to improve in all the areas.
I chose this hotel for it's location as it was close to Chinook Center and reasonably close to the LRT station to get to the Saddledome. The complimentary breakfast was fairly basic, but fine - yogurt, cereal, toast & bagels, and a waffle machine. Nothing hot though. The hotel is a little old and doesn't have much in the way of amenities as the pool is outside so not useable a good portion of the year.

It was very convenient and check-in checkout process was very easy
It was absolutely ridiculous that we were not allowed to bring our breakfast back to the room. They Called the police. And tried to have us removed was not successful. I am asking for a return of all my money I guess we'll see if they keep up there and as nothing that was promised was completed.
My room is infected by cockroaches,and the receptionist is not friendly when i checked in

was just a very basic room for the money. Not spotless but it was reasonably clean. Probably due for updating soon.
One of the worst check-in I have ever experienced. I got a link from a text for an “easy check-in” where I basically filled out a form regarding check in and had my credit card number inputted. This was supposed to speed up check-in by doing all the paper works online and just taking the room keys upon arrival. This basically did the opposite. The front desk said that there is no deposit held on my account yet, and I had to show her my bank statement and the paperwork I filled out prior to arriving at the hotel. The front desk even had to call the hotel manager through phone to double check that they have a deposit held under my account. And she handed me more paper works (that I already have filled out through the “easy check-in link” and had me sign two receipts which was the fee for the hotel and the deposit they apparently “could not find under my account” upon checking in. It took about 20 minutes to check-in which I find absurd. And some guests were also there complaining about bed bugs which photos and videos for proof and they said they could not give them a refund. Just poor customer service and poor quality of accommodation in general.

EV charging
The EV charger was very confusing with 2 different QR code. Fornt Desk staff was not even aware they had an EV charger and was no help figuring it out. Room had a dusty smell to it and was not sound proof at all.
