We visited Sept 16-20 for our family vacation & to celebrate our daughter’s 5th birthday. We were nervous due to recent negative reviews, but so glad we did not listen to them. We had the 1 bedroom presidential suite, Diamond Club. Is there wear & tear, sure.. but, you’re at the beach! Our butlers Eduardo & Fernando, all of the wait staff at the kids pool, Manuel from Hunter’s steak house, Ivan from Zen hibachi, and everyone in between made us feel like family and created the most wonderful experience for us. Our daughter had every employee telling her happy birthday (thanks to Eduardo for spreading the word) and made us feel so special! I highly recommend upgrading to Diamond Club. I’m not sure if that is what enhanced our experience, but the extra perks (separate lounge, top shelf liquors, availability for reservations, etc..) were nice. It was also SO NICE that almost all employees speak close to perfect English.. I know, I know.. we’re in Mexico but it makes the trip more enjoyable not having a huge language barrier like other resorts we have been to in Mexico. Cons: beach is eh.. lots of seaweed and, water was not very clear but there’s enough pools to make up for it. Mosquitoes are BAD.. we thought we were prepared with bracelets & off! But they barely helped. We had photos taken several times & did not get the opportunity to purchase any from the shop before we had to leave & are unable to purchase online. Overall, an amazing vacation & we will be back next year!

The resort is beautiful, upon entering the staff welcome you warmly and checking process easily done. I didn’t enjoy the food nor the juice that much. The juice such as pineapple & cranberry which I tried was tasteless. The staff were very friendly and offered to help always. The room was spacious, beautiful with awesome view of the sky, pools & beach. Room was kept nice and clean and the resort was very clean. I enjoyed the Friday night all white party. The entertainment was good.

This resort was always my favorite but when we recently visited it wasn’t like always. The rooms haven’t been updated it’s all Work out there’s broken furniture in the room , the bathroom showers were weird they kept making sounds there’s plumbing and a weird smelling issue coming out of the tub

We booked a swim up, the room was spacious and the swim up was great. The water was always cool so it was great to take a dip after a hot day in the sun. There were plenty of food options and, to my pleasant surprise, the food quality was great compared a lot of other resorts we have visited. I would definitely recommend Royalton Riviera to those that want a great time and great food.
