It’s in the middle of nowhere. The staff were good and friendly but not enough to make our stay pleasurable. No WiFi, so if that’s important to you then I do not recommend staying here. Tv was small and old, not working when we were there. You need a car, next town is 32 km away, no place to have dinner near by. But overall, it’s ok, if you don’t mind being inconvenienced at least for one night.
Superb location. Very historic. Amazingly friendly and knowlegable staff

Great location if the weather had been friendlier. All facilities closed due to severe storms. Very windy and raining for our stay. A return if weather better.
What an amazing place to stay. Our studio was so comfortable, everything we needed was there, including a continental breakfast. Blissfully quiet, waking up and seeing the lighthouse out the window was amazing!
The lodge B & B had trouble shutting the bathroom door. The side gate had no lock on it. Isolation between Rooms were poor could hear and smell the food being cooked. TV reception required
The site and accomodation was an experience unlike any other. The exlcusivity element you can only buy with an overnight stay. The only unfortunate part was the overall cleanliness which just was not up to scratch.
We loved the property - clean and green with beautiful sea views and a short easy walk down to the lighthouse or around the old buildings - the lighthouse keepers' cottages, old telegraph station and so on. Our accomodation was clean, comfortable and of an acceptable standard. It was a tad small and poky but hey, you get what you pay for, don't you.

The property is all about the location. It’s rustic and you have to accept that it’s a building from 1859 and it’s renovation is old too. It’s like staying in a farm stay and that’s ok but the lack of openable windows means the place smells dank. The oven was unusable (if not dangerous), the kitchen door is on one hinge and our food order was never received (although an email was sent).
The place is run by like the heritage or vic gov so you it’s not professional. If you can accept this then you will find it charming. It’s the location and history you are there for and that’s great. For the price you pay though you’d expect at least 3 star accommodation.
Amazing experience staying soclose to the lighthouse, felt very isolated however we had everything we needed. Great kitchen and bathroom comfortable bed. Would highly recommend if you want to stay in a historic part of Victoria
Had the entire property to ourselves. Absolutely loved the isolation and the view from our window was incredible. We even had a visit from the ghosts!! Loved it.
It is an amazing area and lovely to stay at. It is incredibly pretty and scenic.
It is quiet at night and in the early morning - the area is only open to the public between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. The accommodation is pleasant and the studio was fairly recently refurbished. The bathroom is really nice, but the shower pressure is not great.
The staff were lovely, although you don’t have a lot to do with them.
There is limited internet (in practice basically none) and phone reception (some near the cafe).
You can purchase food from the cafe. Evening meals will be delivered before they leave for the day. I had 2 and they were good.
Nearest place to eat, otherwise, is Apollo Bay which is 30 minutes away.
I loved it. I read a lot, rested, walked around, did a history tour ...
I am looking forward to going back.
Great stay for 2 nights. We stayed in studio with fantastic views down to lighthouse. So peaceful and tranquil especially after 5pm when the public leave. Cosy accommodation. Bought evening meals through the cafe. Good price and lovely. Significantly reduced hassle. Great memories.
Fantastic location. Amazing sunsets. Accommodation perfect for both comfort and gaining an understanding of what life as a lighthouse keeper must have been like. Will definitely return.
Its a lighthouse ! Fabulous location - stars were unbelievable - to be there with no crowds was truly special. The staff were all wonderful - but we were very happy to be able to leave as the crowds arrived - Australia Day and there were a lot of tourists !
Location and historical significance were amazing. Accomodation was comfortable and sufficient and refreshing to be in an natural location that hasn't been overdone.
Being able to view koalas in their natural habitat along the roadside entering and leaving the lightstation was a highlight. The sunset and stargazing was also a rare treat.Such a peaceful setting.
