It is good value for money

The room was warm, clean, good large double bed, although I asked for a single standard. For the location, for the fact that you get free wifi in the room, for the fact that you get breakfast included in the price of the room I would recommend the location as it is good value for the money paid.

Central location for any Cardiff events

Booked into the hotel, staff from beginning to checking out, friendly and helpful. Ideal location for any events in Cardiff, parking, had to use NCP car park opposite the Millenium stadium, but half price when using this hotel, bargin. Only draw back on the night we stayed, disco till 5-30 in the morning, but no big deal.

Practical place to sleep

Staff friendly and helpful. No lift. On a walking street meaning that the taxi can't drive to the door.

Best value for money

I would recommend it to a friend. It was more than expected when I saw my room. Good room size, good service and very helpful and friendly staffs. Could hear movement when people walking and talking on the stairs, corridor and from the next room snoring! Poor floor and wall noise insulation. Otherwise it was a nice hotel to stay. No regrets.

Decent, well located hotel

While certainly not a glamorous hotel with dated decor, nor particularly luxurious with it's slightly small rooms and aging furniture, but it was functional, well located (within easy walking distance of Cardiff Central station, the Millenium Stadium, the castle, and Queen Street for shopping). The staff were friendly, the reception desk was manned all night, and there was a decent breakfast service included.

Centrally located but...

Pros: The staff was helpful.
Cons: An old-fashioned estalblishment, shabby.
... consequently, a lot of street noise. St. Mary St. is the hotspot of night life. There is no lift and the stairs are tricky for older people.
