A safety box in the room was broken, reported but not repaired. Inside spa, no shwers were working at pool side. No swimwear tumble drier in the changing room. Lockers and showers in the changing room don't have enough hooks & hangers, very difficult to use. Temparature of sauna is too low.

The hotel apparently charges for parking but failed to disclose this on their website. Also, my room was without a fridge contrary to what was promised for delivery. The restaurant dinner was good and well-priced. Overall, moderately satisfied.

Paid an eye-watering 5 star price to stay here for the Billy Joel concert for at best 3 star hotel. Lifts not working the whole weekend. Weren’t even asked if we could manage to carry our cases upstairs just told to get on with it! Safe in the room not working and not told. Breakfast was ok but scrambled egg tasted powdery. Positives - bed was comfortable and room was clean. Will not be rushing back.

From the time we arrived,the front desk welcomed us warmly. The hotels outlook is inviting. My kids also love every bit of their stay. The swimming pool, Sauna, Gym were also exceptional. The highlight of our stay is the Restaurant, from the friendly restaurant host Aaliya ,the fillipino and Indian restaurant attendants,breakfast Buffet. All were excellent. Thanks for having us

My booking (through you) didn’t show up on their system and hotel was full so didn’t get my room until I returned from supper at 8pm. The upgrade offered was a nice touch but meant it was a super hot sauna like room…v v uncomfortable and little sleep was had. The restaurant staff are first glass as is the food and drink here. Pool is tatty (I’ve not got super high standards) and changing rooms an absolute mess, but fun was had there so served a purpose. I am booked to return (non refundable) and have requested a room which I know to be cooler. Sorry to moan but the combo of the muck up at check in, another one at check out, and the sauna like bedroom weren’t ideal.

Swimming pool was cold was informed by staff that it was meant to be 30degrees so they said they would inform maintinence. Last time we stayed the pool was lovely and warm. Breakfast was ok as went early after early morning wet facilities session. Comfortable bed. Lovely quiet location close to the city and within walking distance. Perfect for a concert at Cardiff Castle. Good sized room. We will return.

Lovely hotel offering great service
We wanted a relaxinf family trip away and fortunately picked up Novotel Cardiff. The first room allocated to us was in the older part of the hotel, next to main road and we couldnt sleep well overnight. However, the very next day, upon requesting, it was changed to a lovely and spacious room in the adjoining new building. Staff at the hotel are its main asset, friendly, smiling, helpful, always actively listening. We found the bar and kitchen staff the best, Aaliya Khan was the perfect hostess in the mornings and the chef always appeared smiling, engaging and remembering food choices. Great food, always fresh and good healthy choices. The gym, sauna , steam room and swimming pool were all great to use qnd allow a larger window through the day to use. The hotel is literally a 15 min walk to the city centre and around 20 min walk to Cardiff Bay.

Great experience and hope to return!
Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room had everything we needed to make our visit to Cardiff a real pleasure. Everything was spotlessly clean. The food was good and my grandson loved the pool. I'd definitely recommend Novotel Cardiff Centre to anyone visiting the area.

Hotel was very nice, really good check in nice and quick. Room was very nice with a outside terrance to top it off.. shower was very small, anyone over 6ft would feel very uncomfortable in there im sure.. room was very dusty particularly floor and units. Gym was good even if a little small, pool again very good which kept my daughter happy. Restaurant looked very cool, ate there once and wasnt overly impressed with the food or service. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again in the future.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to have a mini fridge in the bedroom but a broken sauna was the biggest disappointment as this was the main reason for booking a room in a hotel with spa facilities.
