Like: Good value for money. The room is very clean and spacious. Free parking, self catering. Good location. Dislike: The shower was a bit cold, the light in the bathroom wasn't good for shaving. Asked too many personal details to register to use Wifi. They checked photo ID on reception desk, not only check the person who booked the room but also the other guest.

Good hostel, central to the bay

Quite close to the Cardiff bay, a nice part of the city. Does get some large groups of people going for stags and other things, but not too bothered. Good facilities including ironing/washing room. Buffet Breakfast available which is good, plus a bar. Always been a fan of YHA so was good to use their hostels again.

Clean and comfortable double room, a liitle out of the city centre but only a short taxi ride. Friendly staff and ample parking.

Value for money but further out

Pros: -The price
Cons: -Communication amongst staff
Location: As above it's at an industrial estate. About 20min walk to either city centre or bay.
It's located a bit far away and at a more industrial estate, and hence difficult to find. The room and en-suite bathroom were very good. The staff were welcoming and friendly. However, a fire alarm in the early morning resulted in no hot water available. Upon enquiring they immediately offered a restaurant voucher or late check-out the next day. We took the latter but the cleaning staff asked twice for us to leave as they were unaware of the agreement.
