Great family location, we do not cater to a "spring break" crowd. Neighborhood consists of full time homeowners, apartments, hotels restaurants and convenience store and other vacation rentals. We provide beach gear, EV charger, AC, fire pit, outdoor shower. NO TV or WASHER/DRYER. SMALL DOGS OK.

Culinary Bliss in a Historic Beachside Haven

Hands down, this is the best VRBO we've ever stayed at. As avid cooks, we prefer to dine in rather than eat out when vacationing, and this place was perfect for that. The owner provided everything we needed for cooking indoors, plus a BBQ in the yard. One of the amenities we loved was the filtered water in 5-gallon jugs. The amenities throughout the property exceeded our expectations, and we never had to make a store run for anything.When I first saw the photos online, I assumed the yard images were for the entire property, but they were actually for our unit. The residence and yard were incredibly private and relaxing. We even had a delightful chat with the owner one evening about the property's history and his special connection to it. If you love immersing yourself in the local culture, this property, with its proximity to the beach and the owner’s passion for surfing, offers a truly enriching experience. Cozy beach cottage

Exactly as pictured; quant, secluded, very cute and perfect for my family of 3. Outdoor patio has fire pit, water features and wind chimes for ambiance. Just a few blocks from the beach and plenty to walk to re: cafes, restaurants, shopping. Host is extremely communicative and kind. Will stay again!

Great vrbo

Surfer vibe vrbo that is close to the beach and restaurants. Board and Brew has delicious sandwiches and is a 5 minute walk. The patio is really nice. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Always such a treat

Staying here is so amazing, my husband and I have spent our last two anniversaries here now. The location is very convenient and walking distance to the top restaurants and bars and of course, the beach. Jim is a great host and is very communicative; it is clear he cares about his guests.

Just simply a brilliant place!

Ali and I loved our stay here. The vibe is just eclectic and amazing. We loved the fully stocked kitchen, not fancy, but had everything. The outdoor space is just fantastic, amazing seashore murals, very planted and private, super cool lighting, two hue fountains, fabulous fire pit with wood included! Host is a true heart. Location is perfect. This place is a brilliant find and an absolute bargain!

Absolutely Perfect!

This was an ideal property that matched our hopes perfectly! The owner was beyond helpful, friendly, and it was obvious he wanted to share his love for his hometown with us! It was walking distance from the beach, the boardwalk and restaurants. It was supplied with everything we could have needed, and, we loved the cozy patio area when friends visited. Beach week getaway

I recently stayed at this lovely 1-bedroom beach property and had an amazing experience. The location is unbeatable—just blocks from the beach, and close to shops and restaurants. The cottage is charmingly decorated with a coastal theme, making it feel like a true getaway. The living area is comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the bedroom has a cozy bed for a great night's sleep. The outdoor patio is perfect for enjoying morning coffee with beach chairs and umbrellas provided for added convenience. The host was attentive and provided clear instructions, making my stay stress-free. Overall, this beach property is a perfect retreat for anyone looking to relax by the sea. Highly recommended!

Blown away with this place

In the few days we stayed at Jim’s place, we couldn’t stop talking about how much we loved it! It’s so close to the beach and a stones throw from the Main Street. The place itself is sooo quaint and beautifully decorated. We will definitely be staying here again upon our next visit to Carlsbad. We also got to meet Jim and chat for a bit which was great.
