The Hotel Millwright is a beautiful property with great staff and amenities. I did not like the paper-thin walls as you could clearly hear every noise from all your neighbors. The beds were not very comfortably either. The location however is ideal for all the other Amana activities.

Only issue that caused concern is that our neighbors next door could be heard clearly even though they were conversing at normal levels. Do not know if it is the connecting door or no sound insulation in wall. Thanks for the ability to comment.

We had the best time during our stay at Hotel Millwright. It was a beautiful hotel with a great restaurant and wonderful staff. If we ever go back to Amana we'll be staying here again. This is a 10/10 hotel

Disappointing stay

The maid did not clean the room on the 1st night of our stay so we had to request clean towels. The hotel had body wash for the shower and no soap. It's hard to wash your hands after going to the bathroom without soap. We asked if they had any and they didn't. Also the bar in the hotel wasn't open both nights because an employee called in. They did nothing to rectify this

Being in an old mill building it's got eclectic style. The decor revolves around the woolen mill machinery. Very charming with polished concrete floors and brick walls. Rooms are very comfortable and quiet. Short walk (1900 steps) from the hotel to the opposite side of Amana. Lots of parking. Millstream Brewery, across the street, is a great little micro-brewery. Ox Yolk restaurant is a must.
