This hotel is under renovations. Our room was not the best. Breakfast was stopped and it was only grab and go. They only supplied coffee, which didn't work for someone who drinks tea. They had small sausage sandwiches for us to heat in the microwave in our room. When asked if they had paper plates, I was abruptly told no. There was also a huge bug in the bedroom, which came out from under the bed. Staff, weren't really friendly, except for the valet guys.

I liked the location as it was inwalking distance to all the downtown restaurants, shops, parkettes, and museums. $45 parking per day is expensive.

The property is being renovated and my room was fine but not updated. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was nice, typical fare. They should post signs in hallways to remind guests that the noise travels to rooms do please be courteous of other guests.

I was hoping to be able to get to historic district using public transport. Hoever, since I had a car, i was driving back and forth to the hotel and downtown for dinners.

Expedia did not share that there was going to be construction during my stay. The hotel itself was fine, although outdated, had room for improvement as far as cleanliness, and the breakfast was only open until 9:00am. That’s way too early to end breakfast. Otherwise it was fine. Everyone was very kind and helped to the best of their ability

Property in midst of renovations, but in last 6 months bad room rate has gone up, they're charging a $16 "resort fee", and the only real extra seems to be the 3 hours of breakfast included each morning. If that's worth 16 on top of the raise in base room rate then ok, but they were a great choice for the traveler just looking for a clean solid room and are now seemingly trying to compete with the more upscale brands around them, IMHO missing what made this property a hidden gem for no nonsense travelers.
