Quick overnight stay. Overall, staff friendly and breakfast buffet selection great. But multiple hair strands in bathroom, shower stall, sofa left me wondering about housekeeping services.

This hotel room was spacious and had lots of storage. Love the pull out couch so my kids don’t have to share a bed. Conveniently located near shops, restaurants and the beach. Will definitely stay here again!

When we previously stayed at this hotel (earlier in the year), everything was great. However, we had a different experience this time. I asked front desk lady for a minor room adjustment but her immediate response was shocking. She didn’t even try to check if the accommodation can be done. She automatically stated that the hotel is fully booked and there is nothing she can do. We all know that’s a lie. When we got into the room, there were no amenities. No sponge in the kitchen, half used soap, no tissues, no soap in the bathroom. I texted the front desk asking for supplies and her response was "you can pick up supplies at the front desk." I would think Hilton staff would deliver it to the door but I guess I am wrong? Husband asked for a sponge to wash dishes, and she stated that they don’t provide those. Also a lie since I saw them on the housekeeping carts the following day. There was leftover trash from previous customers left in the room. TV stopped working 5 minutes into our stay. I didn’t even address it since I already knew that the front desk will not do anything about it. The only positive was breakfast that was provided. Everything was delicious and fresh.

I have never stayed at a Home2 before so I was pleasantly surprised by all the amenities. To be honest, I've been doing the Airbnb thing and have opted to avoid hotels. Well, I believe they're attempting to take some business from the VRBO/Airbnb market. For me, the bonus of an amazing breakfast with actual proteins (omelets, breakfast sandwiches) and a kitchen with items to cook food (pots, pans) and eat (utensils, plates, cups), has me telling my friends we'll be looking for these Home2 stays whenever we travel. The room darkening shades, room dividing curtain, two burner stove top, dishwasher, pool, workout room, and outdoor breakfast seating were all reasons I'd be back there in a heartbeat! My only ;-( was a bit of a wet dog smell in my room. I know they allow pets so that may have been the reason although I saw no evidence of pets previously in my room.

Super Front Desk Staff

The Front Desk staff were professional, knowledgeable and personable. They were on task with answering questions and supporting check-ins. Housekeeping was a bit off target with managing and replenishing supplies. No restock of toilet paper or towels or kitchen towels. Not irritating enough to change my excellent rating for this location though.

We stayed 5 nights and had a wonderful time. The staff was always friendly and helpful. We stayed in a one bedroom suite and it's was very spacious. The breakfast each morning was hot and delicious. The sofa bed was a bit uncomfortable but it's a sofa bed. The location was great too. Close to the beach, shopping and Charleston. I would completely recommend staying here. I would definitely stay here again.

Stay was great, convenient to everything we needed. Only thing we missed was welcome gift when we arrived! Breakfast was good and the laundry facilities served us well! Would definitely stay again!
