Revitalized Historical Southern Residence

Perfect for a large family! Just one block away from upper King Street, the new epicenter of the city's renowned restaurant and nightlife district. Enjoy some of Charleston's best local dining, all located within just a few blocks of the rental. Our wonderful cultural city also offers galleries, museums, gorgeous churches, carriage tours, great shopping, and the beach is just 15 minutes away. Equipped with 2 off-street parking spots!

Please note this unit is handicap inaccessible.

The Space:
This rental is three stories, and starts on the second floor of the building. The first floor is home to the kitchen, living area with a pull out queen sofa bed, one bedroom, and 1.5 baths. There is no formal dining space. The kitchen includes a full size fridge, microwave, toaster, range, compact dishwasher, dinnerware, pots & pans, and basic cooks tools.

The second floor has two bedrooms, one with a king size bed, one with a queen size bed, and one bathroom.

The third floor is only a bedroom that has a full size bed and one bathroom. The ceilings on the third floor are lower than the ceilings in the rest of the rental as you can see in pictures 23-29.

This unit has a 2 night minimum.

Vrbo is a re-seller, not our website. We list openings not already booked on our site here and on other booking portals that re-sell available nights at a higher rate to cover their surcharges & booking fees. What you get for this premium: You get an easy to use mobile platform and a quality assurance guarantee from Vrbo that we as a management company will deliver the property as advertised.

Personally, we use Vrbo when traveling to remote areas that do not have strong locally based property management companies and have had good luck with it. We are happy to have our homes available on this site.

Guest Access:
This is a private rental. Guests have access to the entire space.

The Neighborhood:
The property is located in the Cannonborough Elliotborough neighborhood of Downtown Charleston, which is considered the most upcoming area on the peninsula. The neighborhood is perfect for a couple or a group who is looking to fully embrace Charleston's unique charm. Step right outside your door and find a wonderfully curated mix of shops, bars, bakeries, and dining. We recommend grabbing a coffee at Island Provisions or Babas before exploring King Street, Charleston's ultimate epicenter of shops and restaurants, which is just one short block from the property. Our guests have a wide selection of walkable dinner options, some of our favorites include Chez Nous, Chubby Fish, Bistronomy by Nico, and Vern's. Come experience all that our beautiful city has to offer!

Getting Around:
Most everything is within walking distance. If guests do have a car, we provide TWO (2) off-street parking spaces. We suggest an economy size vehicle to help with getting around Charleston's narrow downtown streets.
There are multiple taxi services, Uber included.

Other Things to Note:
• Please note our strict cancellation policy
• Streaming device provided as opposed to standard cable
• This unit has a 2 night minimum
• City of Charleston Permit OP2023-03590

Friend Get Together
We stayed here as a "girlfriend" get together. The location was great. The bedrooms were excellent with the exception of the top floor. The ceilings are slanted so someone short or kids are best suited for that upstairs room. The bedding and beds were very comfortable. Each room has a noise machine which helps as the apartment faces a street. We were 4 women and had adequate space.

Charleston historical neighborhood
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Revitalized Historical Southern Residence. The only problems are the very small bedrooms, and limited seating. Also no dinning area and steep stairs. Otherwise a pleasant experience.

Great location!!
Prime location to all the best restaurants on King Street and neighborhoods surrounding! Home has its own charm. Owner is very nice and having two parking spaces is clutch! Fair warning, the room on the top floor does not stand very tall so if you have friends that are just over 6 ft tall - give them one of the rooms downstairs :)

Charleston
Enjoyed our stay- within walking distance to downtown. We’re able to have a car & navigate well to nearby attractions. Only comments would be that one of the downstairs window had no lock & shower head downstairs needs a removable handle.

Close and Clean
Can’t beat the charm , the clean or the closeness to everything Charleston. The temperature was completely controllable and the beds super comfortable. I was a bit worried about the smallness of the space but it was actually still quite large and have our group plenty of room to spread out. The porch was wonderful as was the 1st floor bedroom for my grandmother who likes to slip out on the porch in the middle of the night. Would love to stay again !

Great Property & Management
The biggest selling points for this property are its perfect location, management team & parking. You're a 5 min walk from King St, ~25 min walk from the French Quarter, just super convenient. The management team was friendly, helpful and professional. Having two parking spaces is a huge bonus given the location & limited parking in that part of the city. The property itself was clean and well kept. It's probably best suited for a party of 8, as the living room is a bit cramped even without the pullout couch extended. All in all, this was a great property for our trip, and we really enjoyed our stay!

Downtown Charleston
Great location within walking distance of a family wedding at the William Aiken House and many great restaurants. Parking space for two cars also a great feature. Just what we needed as eight adults and one toddler shared this home for the weekend. Plenty of linens/towels provided. Refrig a bit small but we made it work. Fans augment the air conditioning, and we were quite comfortable in spite of heat & humidity of Memorial Day weekend.

Cramped quarters and zero insulation
This place would be great place to stay for certain groups/families at certain times of year, but it wasn't great for us. The good: Location is great - close enough to walk to King St. and the market Parking - if you've never been to Charleston, you don't understand how valuable parking can be. Having off street parking is great. The two spots are very small, but can fit one large SUV or two compact cars. Quaint - the house is historic and has lots of character Beds were comfortable, and the place was clean. The bad: - We went on one of the coldest weeks Charleston has had, and this place can't keep up with the cold. The main floor was frigid - around 55 degrees, while the outside temps were around 30. Standing next to a window was like standing in front of a freezer with the door open. The middle level where there are 2BRs and 1BA were warm enough as the thermostat was on that level. - The main level has a living room, kitchenette 1BR and 1.5BA. The living room is large enough for about 5 adults, total. And it's cramped with that many people. Not a great social gathering place. - The kitchen needs some work. Exposed wiring capped only with wire nuts and a single plug located adjacent the sink. Enough room to plug in the coffee maker or toaster, but not both. Overall, I'd stay here only if I knew the weather was going to be moderate (60-85 degrees), and with no more than 4 people. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere.

Charming Charleston home
home was walking distance to the heart of shopping and nightlife; included all needed amenities; parking was great; home, itself, was lovely. Owner responded to all queries within 24 - 48 hours. Would totally recommend.

Great house, but HOT
The house is adorable and was a great size for our group of 9 girls. The location is also ideal- just a block away from king st where there are many restaurants and bars. The only complaint I have is that the AC didn't work well. Charleston in August is HOT so we were uncomfortable. I did call, and someone was sent right away to try to fix it, but unfortunately it did not work. When I got in touch with property managers again, I was told management would be spoken to about a partial refund but then I never heard back. Otherwise, our stay in charleston was incredible and we would definitely return :)

Great for a group of girls that are tight knit. A little tight in space and parking but very clean.
The apartment was so cute. Has everything that you need. Space is tight but that was to be expected. Do not drive a big car! It will fit in the parking lot but you will have to block other cars around you because of the way the spaces are arranged. Fortunately you can walk everywhere in Charleston from here, so once you're parked you really don't have to move your car again. Beds were very comfy. Property manager is very accommodating.

Great Location! Perfect for a girls weekend!
We stayed at this location for a girls weekend and we were extremely satisfied. Maybre was great and made sure that we had all the information we needed and was a text away whenever I had a question! The location is SUPER close to all the King Street bars/restaurants as well as shopping! We had 10 girls in the house and made more than enough sleeping space. While the kitchen was somewhat small it was fine because of all the great food options you dont need a kitchen. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay!! Thanks Maybre! My only two recommendations would maybe be more mirrors (was somewhat tight with ten girls getting ready) and maybe patio chairs to sit out on the porch! However, we still very much enjoyed our stay! :)

Good stay - very clean - effecient for our stay.
The Property was clean but smaller than it appears in the pictures. We had a couple of issues with the heat - it was a very cold weekend - the internet was out but every thing was resolved quickly. overall we had a great time. 5 loves is around the corner - AMAZING. I would recommend it to a younger group.

Great location; good for groups
Overall the property suited our trip - a girls weekend with 7 of us. The location was within walking distance of many great restaurants and bars (which also comes with some late night noise, but did not bother us). Bedroom layout is great and very comfortable. The house was very clean, well maintained and had all the necessary dishes, towels, etc. we needed. The kitchen and living room were a little smaller than expected based on the pictures, but we all managed to gather round the coffee table and TV for morning coffee, afternoon snacks, and late night games. We experienced unseasonably cold weather and the owner was very responsive to our request for additional blankets (delivered within minutes!). The owner was proactive with instructions and sent me a text to make sure we had everything we needed upon arrival. I would rent this property again.
