Have always loved this hotel, but it’s time to admit it needs some TLC. Staff still as friendly as ever, and the vibe of Marion Square is wonderful, and while the lobby is still a gem, the rooms are looking shabbier.

Very nice stay in historic hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom showed a little wear and tear but worked fine. The staff was very nice and the gym was great. Great location for walk ability around the city. I would definitely go back.

Property is in great location but needs a major renovation. 3 main elevators look more like freight elevators with all the door scratches, dents and worn carpeting. The hotel is 100 years old and has probably 100 layers of chipping and peeling paint on all the molding and doors. Our bathroom had a cracked sink, rust in the light fixture and around the toilet, and a chipped soap dish. Add to that the sound on the television died the 2nd night of our stay. Will say the bed and pillows were perfectly firm - probably the best sleep I’ve had in quite a long time.
