Love the location - park across the street, shopping and dining nearby and a short walk to Charleston Music Hall. The lobby is beautiful. Our bathroom was claustrophobic.

Decent hotel in good location
It’s an old hotel that really needs updating. Some updates have been done but they’re odd- the toilet was like nothing I’ve ever seen, There’s a strange vanity/shelf combo in the bathroom, the shower feels grimy, the walls are very thin so you hear everything from your neighbors, and the towels and linens are worn. The AC is powerful, the tv lets you cast, and the location is good.

Wonderful Historic Hotel with Charm and Character. The Francis Marion Restaurant has Excellent Food and the Best 'She Crab Soup'. The portions were big, and the cost was not. Piano in the from 4:30 to 6 with Cookies. Piano moves to the restaurant until 9. I would Recommend this Hotel for Cost and Location.
