This is the Heritage coast, well known for excellent sailing, fishing and wind surfing. This is an excellent area for walking with many coastal walks taking in views of dramatic cliff top ruins including Dunstanburgh Castle. Beyond the Castle is Craster, a picturesque village famous for kippers and other smoked delicacies. A variety of seabirds and grey seal colonies can be observed on the Farne Islands by taking a boat trip from Seahouses.
