Cherrueix is a relaxing village, ideal for hiking and Nordic walking over km of beach or dike. For lovers of sensations, sand yachting is a Cherroul specialty taught by champions and can be practiced at any age.
Lovers of fishing on foot can learn the dranet, a kind of big dip net that scrapes the bottom, and the pin, small size net that is used to harvest crustaceans; of course at low tide. You can also visit the breeding parks of mussel mussels (piles on which they are rolled) now recognized by an AOC and that can be enjoyed from June to January and the succulent flat and hollow oysters that can be eaten all the year (milky or not depending on tastes). With the little yellow train, you can also visit the wooden fisheries that have existed in Cherrueix since the twelfth century, a kind of trap that can catch fish and crustaceans at rising tide.
There are many other discoveries to be made for nature lovers and ancient times such as windmills of the 18th, the bench of Hermelles, coral reef unique in Europe that one discovers during the high tides.
The village is ideally located respectively 30 minutes from St Malo, Mont St Michel, Dinan, Dinard.
The colors of the sea and the sky, always changing, with against the backdrop of the superb Mont Saint Michel placed on the water as ... a cherry on a cake, are a feast for the eyes and watercolor lovers .
If you think that everyone in Brittany waxes yellow in the summer, as you say it is a misconception completely false. Well, let's be honest it is sometimes the case ... but most often it is very beautiful!
What better way to enjoy the 110 kilometers of coastline of Upper Brittany, from the clear waters of the Emerald Coast to the vast expanses of the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel. While you are fond of sandcastles, sporting afternoons or reading fan-feet,
have a good stay
