Well situated. Easy access to public transportation. The hotel itself needs abit of a refresh. Bathroom floor was a little iffy. Not for those who are very picky. But for the price and location, it's worth it.

A no frills stay but that was all we needed. Great location to the Field museum and restaurants. Friendly staff. Perfect for a quick overnight visit.

The property is next to a great bakery and also to Yolk's, the best breakfast restaurant in Chicago. You get a $10 breakfast voucher for a different restaurant, which is a way to save money, if you want what's on their limited menu. Trader Joe's, Target, Walgreen's, a good deli, the Roosevelt 'L' (subway) stop and the Field Museum are all within an easy walk. But, the fan in the heating/ cooling unit in the room made such a racket, that I wouldn't want to stay in the room in summer, when you'd have to leave the unit on all night. The place is clean and convenient, but I'd rate the hotel 2 1/2 stars, rather than 3. It's the best area to stay, the rate was good and there aren't that many other choices nearby.
