Rude night shift
The lady at the front desk at night for check-in was horribly rude. Wouldn’t budge to help with anything including taking my $10 for seven dollar drink and saying she didn’t have three dollars change. I’m a Holiday Inn member and I wasn’t allowed to have my late check out I didn’t know that until the day I was checking out, they told me I had to get out when I was supposed to be for I couldn’t go to that so I missed my parent information day at college which I drove all the way up from New York to go to and I thought you were allowed to use the amenities like the pool after you checked out on the day, but they wouldn’t let me use the pool on the day. I checked out so I couldn’t use the pool at all , which is why I picked this one

It was a great experience until my fiancé found and killed a cockroach in our room. Hopefully, it was just a fluke, but please take note and investigate the issue. I would hate for another guest to encounter this.

This location is superb for Amtrak travel. Although the hotel is next to a highway exit, I could not hear cars. I was able to use the wifi to do work Zoom meetings and they even have a mobile desk in the room so that you can move your location for best lighting and background. Staff is friendly.

Lessons Learned
This place was probably nice at one point, but is in disrepair - elevators, former restaurant, hallways, etc. The elevators reeked of weed. The breakfast is worse than most places free breakfast. If you are going to spend $450 a night for a room you probably don't want a place that lets riff-raff hang out in the front parking lot all night followed by parties into the early morning hours. The staff was helpful and pleasant, but this location is a minute away from being straight ghetto pay-by-the-hour hotel. As convenient of a location as it was for business I won't be back.
