Ask lots of questions.
The hotel listed features that were not available. No rooftop bar, because it was under construction. Having only breakfast available doesnt fit the idea of a restaurant. Having bus people hovering over my table and blindly taking my plates before asking was really annoying. The quality of the food was industrial. No berries, just melons. The pastries were small and lacked flavor. The fitness center is too small for a large hotel. The machines I wanted weren't in working order. The TV channels were fading in and out and the remote was difficult to use. As was the iron and board. Charging for late checkout reinforces the attitude that your guests are just cash machines. Laundry is overpriced. It's a vendor but a poor choice. This is a hotel which depends on their international reputation.

Lovely property with a great work out room. Wish the rooftop bar was completed so we could enjoy that. Lots of Spanish speaking staff was helpful too.

New Hotel, Bad Breakfast.
At time of writing, the hotel is about 3 weeks old. Nice rooms and bathrooms, with simple, practical finish. Good location, just off the Magnificent Mile. Breakfast appeared good, with plenty of choice, but everything was of poor quality. Bar served nice cakes but terrible coffee. During our 3-day stay, we had to move room because there were people on the roof making noise, waking us at around 7am. No discount or good will was offered for the inconvenience.

Property was new- beautiful lobby Room clean however small Staff courteous/ friendly- for the $ spent to stay at the RIU I expected simple request (water) to be met I will not stay or recommend stay at this RIU property

we first came in and they decided to charge us about 80 dollars just because we to add our children but even though we usually don’t pay for our children but it was fine but the reception was so rude when i got frustrated she said “ no can’t do this anymore” and someone else took over the cashier it was her manger so because of the inconvenience they said they would give us an upgrade when we checkout our room it was very small to beds pushed togther and sofa bed and they said they would give us a family room after we checked out i saw their site the same place it said “ children under the age of 12 can stay free if they are with their parent/guardian “ i am my daughters parent she’s with her parent i don’t understand? so then he said no blah blah very rude by the way and just said no to give us a refund this is hotel doesn’t even give internet for free expieda says free internet they should really update their room details online would never ever ever recommend this hotel at all service was horrible
