The house worked well for our trip to see family. As of April 2022 when we stayed there a few things that other reviewers mentioned were fixed and one was not. We had no problem with the wifi. It worked perfectly and we were glad to have it. The television is a smart tv and our family had no issue figuring it out. If you sign into your own services such as Netflix or Disney+ remember to sign out, though. We watched Netflix on someone else’s account that was already signed in. We were told to park on the left side of the driveway, but when we arrived someone from the other house was parked there already, so we parked on the right side and it worked out fine. The front door locking and unlocking is still a problem. We figured out it was not our technique or the instructions… it’s just that the passcode lock sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. Here are other pros and cons:
We had our family of 8 staying there - 5 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 young child. Even though the house sleeps 10 it was tight with our 8. Because there’s limited space for suitcases etc. and only one bathroom, the house will be best for smaller groups, but you can make it work like we did. The location was awesome for us. The trains did not bother us at all and having a wonderful playground just across the street was really nice. There are so many restaurants and stores within 5 minutes of the property and that’s very convenient. The house itself was charming. We loved all the old house features like leaded glass cabinets in the dining room and hardwood floors. We loved having a washer and dryer, too. Just be careful of not closing the basement door all the way because it sticks. One issue, however, is that the shower is leaking onto the stairwell ceiling and woodwork. It appears to be a small leak that’s been going on for awhile, There’s some water damage and I hope they get that fixed soon before there’s significant damage. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.
