If you are leaving on a river cruise this hotel is just across the road from where they leave. Very convenient in that way . Also close to the cathedral. The rooftop Restaurant was not open when we were there which was a shame as this is why I booked this hotel.

Polite staff, excellent location with bridge from the hotel to the river , 200 m from the tram station and Neumarkt area . Breakfast had a large and varied choice. One thing to note, they have an ATM in the left hand corner of the reception , this machine doesn’t charge for a withdrawal which was a pleasant surprise.

We really enjoyed our stay here! It’s convenient to public transport and walking along the Rhein. The breakfast selection was very good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel in Cologne. Close to all interesting sites in the city. The hotel they has a great breakfast buffet to prepare you for your exploration of city and its surroundings. The city is beautiful and has a great transportation system.

Dated but serviceable. Perhaps a bit expensive for experiencing all the best in German 1990s signage and furnishings, which do not give it an upscale feel 30 years later. Having available outlets in the rooms to charge devices would have been a plus; this wasn't a consideration in the early '90s when this place was built. The beds were fairly comfortable and the washroom was fine. The location is good, right on the Rhein at Heumarkt, just two subway stops or a 15-minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof. In general, a comfortable if somewhat outdated stay.
