Bed was horrible.
I expected it to be small, but the bed didn't even allow the BR door to close. I was mostly disappointed with the lack of comfort and upkeep. Bed is horrible- lumpy and saggy. Not a queen, but a double. The couch had one arm broken, so it was also saggy and uncomfortable. Closet doors were broken and off the rails, so the closet was unusable. Paint / walls were scratched / gouged, light bulbs burned out, and the air conditioner was a free sranding swamp cooler type that made so much noise we turned it off at night.

Our stay here was fine. Our review would not be any different than most in that there are a few fixes that could easily be made (closet door was broken and the sofa was broken). The place was great for what we needed. It was nice to be able to walk to the shops when we wanted and we liked that it was centrally located to a lot of hiking. The one thing that was difficult to get past was the people in the unit above us. We couldn't hear talking, but could hear every step they took. If they were up during the night to use the bathroom (or whatever) then we were awake as well. They were up super early in the morning, then we were too. The first people who stayed we couldn't hear so much, but the second people were so heavy footed and apparently never stop moving. Lost a bit of sleep on our vacation. Other than that, we thought the place was perfectly fine.

Loved the town of Manitou
Enjoyed Manitou, place was overpriced for quality condition of furniture and size of rental, Did a search for places with a hot tub and this place came up. Hot tub mentioned in description. However Hot Tub only available to upstairs residents, even though the add says it does. Tried to give manager heads up about discrepancy of add stating there is a hot tub, and he just reiterated that we couldn't use hot tub. Wouldn't stay there again for that price and no hot tub use.

Cute little apartment on mountain walking distance to town. Comfortable bed. TV in living room and bedroom. Bedroom closet door is broken so we didn't use it. Silverware drawer and some dishes had crumbs so i just washed them. Quiet neighborhood and parking for 2 cars. Reasonable price. Beautiful shower with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Walked to town for a jam session one evening. It was all local people playing on stage at Kinfolk. Good beer, nice people and enjoyed our evening. Thank you for sharing your place with us.

Nice Place with Minor Problems
The code for entry didn't work, but thankfully, someone answered the phone number we were given. We got a different code and was able to enter this cute, little house. Several things were broken... the clock, the left arm on the sofa, the sliding closet doors, the leaky shower head (which had an effect on the water pressure). Even though the kitchen was fully stocked with meal-preparation tools and pans, the dishes, mugs and cups (some chipped) had to be washed before using. While we were there, the upstairs was occupied, and we were told ahead of time that the upstairs tenants have exclusive use of the hot tub; however, there is also a patio table with five chairs. We assumed that it was okay to use the table and chairs. If this was wrong, the host needed to make it clear to us ahead of time. Also, we needed to be told ahead of time that we were expected to take out the trash. That bit of news was in an email sent during our stay. Who checks email while on vacation? Not me.

Quaint home, nicely decorated
We enjoyed staying here overall. Bed was comfortable, easy cooking in the kitchen, and access to downtown Manitou with just a short walk. Upstairs neighbors are sometimes easily heard, but doesn’t make that much of a problem.

Excellent Location. Problematic management.
The house was adequate, but very small and cramped. Terrible use of space. Furniture was more in the way than useful. Nowhere to place luggage or hang anything. Nowhere to dry towels. No AC. A sign posted said there is no AC because Colorado has very mild summers. This is a lie. Colorado regularly has 80-90 degree days from May to November. Great location, easy walk to downtown Manitou and minutes drive to some of the best Colorado has to offer as far as natural beauty. But outrageous rules and fees. Very hostile signage in the front room about how much they will charge you for any stain on the towels or sheets. Very sexist coded language (e.g., explicitly warns against makeup or blood). Any normal lodging would just use bleach. Made us very uncomfortable.

Location was perfect for us
This property was much smaller than it showed, the furnishings were a little outdated and the whole place needed a deep clean. The parking was VERY SMALL! All that being said, we had a great time, we loved that we could walk downtown to eat, shop and explore this wonderful area. Our hosts were very good about communicating with us. I would stay again because of the location!

Cute and quaint
We had all the amenities u needed to have for a two day stay. The entire place was clean and very efficient for a quick vacation stay. The only changes would be the noisy heater that would make a loud popping noise needed to be replace and the broken pull out bed couch. Other than that we would stay there again.

Close to everything we wanted to do, within walking distance of downtown. We had trouble finding the address. The rental was nice and newly redecorated. If you watch tv in evenings, don't expect to get anything but HBO, no football on Sundays.

Mouse infested with constant noise
1. No sound barrier from upstairs. Constant stomping of hiking boots. 2. Mattress was sagging in the middle. 3. No instructions for television! 4. Location of apartment is terrible. No where to park, turn around, and neighbors were outside at night screaming profanity! 5.Front door was difficult to open! And it didnt have a number to identify which apartment it was! 6. THE LAST NIGHT, MY HUSBAND KILLED A MOUSE IN THE KITCHEN SINK!! NO SLEEP AFTER THAT!!!

A Very Enjoyable Stay
My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay here. • The property is a nice short walk from downtown which really enhanced the whole experience. But please note it's quite the incline walking back to the property from Downtown... but hey, that's Colorado for you. • Where the property is located might be a little sketchy for some, but really there isn't anything to worry about. We had zero issues with neighbors or anything due to location. • The front door to the property is something I would encourage the property owners to replace. It takes a little extra effort to open and close, and the wood panel to the door is starting to peel off. • There wasn't an outdoor trash can which the check-out instruction stated there was. When we got to the property, from the kitchen window, you can see out onto the patio space. Under the stairs is were either the upstairs tenant or the previous guests placed their trash bags. The next day wildlife had opened the trash making a mess. I would encourage the property owner to put in outdoor trash cans. • The inside of the property was very nice and clean. • The Roku TV was a nice addition when we were ready to relax for the evening. • The automated messages we received regarding check-in didn't provide the 4-digit door key or contact information for the property owner. After stumbling around the Vrbo app for a bit I finally found a button that allowed me to call their office. They quickly sent me an e-mail with the door key information. Beyond these points, my wife and I had a great stay and would definitely recommend this location to others. I encourage the property owner to take our recommendations seriously to better enhance the experience for others. The close proximity of this property to all the natural assets this region has to offer was amazing.

Nice place, but a few things noted for other potential guests
The property inside was real nice. We didnt meet the owners, but they seemed to be readily available if we had any issues. Overall we had a good stay. A couple of things to note if you are looking at this property that we did not know until we got there... it's up a fairly steep hill from the downtown attractions and tucked back in somewhat of an alley. This place was nice, but a few of the surrounding houses and the location seemed a little sketchy at first but we had no issues and it turned out fine. Also, you can hear every movement in the place above it. It wasn't that bad, but one of the mornings we could hear a dog walking above us and someone walking for about 30 minutes and it was fairly loud. Note that there is a sign inside asking you to remove your shoes and that was not known upfront. Overall we felt it was a nice place for the price and the inside was real nice.

There were items that could have increased the ratings.
Some of the issues we had were minor but affected our rating and would have been more enjoyable. The front door was difficult to open and close; squeaky bed; one of the closet doors were hanging off their track; and the wall heater made loud popping noises.
