Red Brick Country Inn: Cozy, Pet Friendly Country Home!

Long term rental, minimum 3 months stay, preferred 6-12 months lease with a credit check via Zillow application. This is a secluded beautiful spacious home in south Columbus. Fenced in private backyard, safe for dogs and kids.
Pool table in the basement. Two comfortable couches and a lazy boy in the living room for large families.
Neighbors have asked for no parties or excessive noise as it’s a very quiet residential neighborhood at a cul-de-sac. This is a ranch style home that offers an open floor plan with all the bedrooms and bathrooms on one level. The game room is in the basement, equipped with a pool table (billiards), kids toys and extra chairs if needed. There’s an extra fridge in the kitchen for larger gatherings and events. Those have to be approved by the neighbours and supervised by the host.
At the end of the street you can notice a railroad track, which most people admire for its nice views and peaceful energy. The train can be heard somewhat from one bedroom on the left of the living room, so if you like to sleep with a soothing sound, - pick that one! The train never blows the horn and only passes couple of times so it shouldn’t be a bother. And it is not right next to the home, but at the end of the road. Which is, by the way, a dead end so no drive through traffic and maximum privacy.
The backyard offers even more privacy with the gated fenced in backyard. Accept maybe for a pup Ninja and a goat (licensed therapy animal) at the neighbours backyard on the left. You can feed the goat crackers through the fence, the neighbor said it’s ok.
This neighbourhood has a great healthy energy that brings peace and calm. Although it’s right next to the biggest highway 270, it feels quiet and serene with a country feel, yet right in the city! This peaceful place is perfect for family getaways and privacy. And the historic feel is still vibrant from the very first railroad settlers.
During your stay at this holiday home, you'll be close to Scioto Downs. Enjoy your stay with amenities like 2 bathrooms and a washing machine in the holiday home.
  • Air-conditioned home with washing machine, 2 bathrooms and shower
  • 5 minutes by car from Three Creeks Park and 9 minutes from Scioto Downs

It's definitely worth it.
Our beautiful host was very pleasant and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of seating and room to spread out. We stayed 5 days and had family that came into town, there was room for the kids to play and adults to gather. No place is perfect but this place was good enough.

Nice stay - good home - nice touches
The home is just as the description states, and is well appointed. A couple of reviews mention the neighborhood and the train - this is not a fancy neighborhood, but we certainly felt safe and had no concerns. The house is in good shape, and it is obvious some work has been done to upgrade, and it feels like that is ongoing. Definite effort has been made to put in some first class touches, but the work is not always professional. Nothing detracts from the stay, and we appreciated the extras. Very clean, not a single issue with cleanliness. Overall, exactly what you expect with no negative experiences. Met expectations, and definite touches that exceeded. Thank you for a great place to stay!

It advertised.
It was an older house. Furnished with older furniture and not matching. It was very dark. Doors were extremely hard to open and close. Front door was difficult to close and back door. The bed furnishings were not very appealing. One of the bathrooms electrical plugs did not work. Shower in one bathroom’s got water wasn’t hot. We would not select this property again. Very dark and not appealing atmosphere. The place was clean.

Short weekend trip
I wanted to love the property but it isn’t lovable. The outside view leaves alot to be desired. This has nothing to do with the property. The property itself looks well groomed. The view of the neighbor’s backyard was not good. For a short 2 night stay the price was great. It is well stocked. The bed was very comfortable. I would like to have had harder water pressure and hotter water, but I know that is just my personal preference. For the price, it was a great find.

Property could use some refreshing but it worked perfectly fornour ladies gathering. Beds were clean and comfortable and the two full baths accommodated our needs to be on our way to our next stop perfectly. Loved the open floor plan in LR/kitchen area as it provided space for us to gather. Not in a high end area of the city but we felt perfectly safe and cozy. Thank you.

Travelled with family and small children
Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Overall: This property has potential to be a great site for large families and groups travelling together. Cons: Lack of hot water, furniture upgrade should be explored, looked as if remodel was not yet completed, outside landscape not very appealing, could use some work, parking lacking Pros: PLENTY of space, basic amenities provided, TVs in EACH room, wonderful Wi-Fi bandwidth for streaming, owner is relatively close to handle issues, private - not a lot of traffic, safe environment, heat/AC in tip top shape Scenario: Overnight trip for a family of 9; two adults, two teenagers, five children - 9, 8, 6, 6, and 1

Perfect for us
We have family in the Columbus area and wanted a place for the few of us who traveled there to stay. This house is not big, but it provided the perfect hanging out space for 5 adults and their dogs. The fenced-in backyard was perfect as well! The only thing I marked down was location (which isn't bad) because it is pretty close to an active train track. Otherwise, our stay was perfect.

Weird.
Pros - open living area, plenty of bedrooms Cons- VERY CLOSE TO BUSY TRAINTRACKS! There was a dog that chased us anytime we were out front of the property! Mouse traps and bug traps visible/accessible in many rooms. Very cold, and we were unable to adjust heat. This property felt like it was a project still in process, things kind of looked nice and matchy, but then you look closely and see the tiling job is poorly executed, the doorframes are dirty, there was a light in the master bath that wasn't on a light switch so it just stayed on permanently... Weird.
