Perfect for accommodation in a beautiful location
Very pretty and homely cottage style house (one floor only). Beautiful views from the living room windows over the harbour and out to sea. Very well equipped. Good communication and a warm welcome from the lovely owners Ramon and Viri. They didn't speak much English but managed well with Google translate on the phone and sent lots of info in English before we arrived. Lots of parking available at the top of the village - only a few minutes walk away. NB Steep slopes from car parking and from the house to the port - so not suitable if you're infirm.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying in Ramon and Viri's unique home up on the cliffs of the town of Llastres. Llastres is a unique village, and their home is full of lovely objects and beautiful art from Ramon's ancestral family. The home also has amazing historical information about the town of Llastres and Ramon's family's place in its history. The home is comfortable and gracious, with everything provided that you would need. Ramon and Viri have taken such care to make their apartment beautiful, with everything arranged artistically and with such intention. Ramon has written a lovely book that is available in the apartment about the history of the village and about how a fishing tragedy deeply affected it back in the 1940's. We enjoyed reading it. We also really enjoyed the village of Llastres. From the apartment we had a panoramic view of the village and its port and we couldn't get enough of just looking out at the village and the ever-changing sea and sky. It is a challenge to walk down to the town because it's so steep and it is stone all the way, but we did it and we were glad that we did. Around every corner there is a picture to take! Ramon and Viri are lovely people who clearly take great pride in their home and their heritage. We very much enjoyed meeting them. Our only regret was that we had such a short stay! It was lovely in all respects!

Una experiencia maravillosa.
A parte de ofrecer unas estupendas vistas al cantábrico, la casa está llena de detalles que la hacen especialmente acogedora. La ubicación en pleno casco histórico es perfecta. Sin duda Lastres es uno de los pueblos más bonitos de Asturias, y su entorno natural de los más bellos de España. Ha sido una suerte haber podido pasar unos días en Cau la Mar.

Nice flat without wifi
The very nice owners Viri and Ramon gave us a long introduction into the flat, which contains everything you need including washing machine,television, induction cooker, microwave oven but no wifi, which is certainly not up to date in 2019. The doublebed was a little small (130 cm) and not very soft and the flat had an effluvium of polish wax. Nevertheless we enjoyed our week in beautiful Asturia!

Magnifica estancia, lugar de ensueño.
Cau La Mar es un pequeño paraiso. El magnífico trato que nos prestaron Viri y Ramón, sus propierarios, desde el mismísimos momento de la llegada, fue la antesala de una inolvidable estancia disfrutada en esta casa llena de encanto, cómoda, limpia y acojedora. Y xon unas vistas desde sus ventanas que nos serán dificil de olvidar. Volveremos.

Una preciosidad, en la parte alta del casco antiguo, con vistas del pueblo y del Mar desde la ventanas. Los propietarios muy amables, conserva la estructura de la construcción de piedra dentro de una reforma moderna. Muy agradable.
