It is small in size & so are the sea facing bedrooms. I thin the term is bijou but the a/c works great & isn't too noisy at night. The staff are all very helpful & warm to deal with. This is Greece so you have to factor this in, given the general mess the country is in. It isn't five star but given the pricing, it does represent fair value. It is a shame that some smaller things go unaddressed but there could well be good reason for this. Decent beaches are a drive away so the pool is the default day location otherwise. the pool has great views but the food offered for lunch at the pool bar could be enhanced. A missed opportunity, as is the spar which doesn't seem to get used. The latter could be repurposed for offering more substantial meals. One thing I didn't like was that the hotel has a A-sign on the road entrance openly touting for non-residents to come in & use the facilities for free (perhaps to increase takings at the pool bar). Those staying at the hotel had paid to use them but outsiders could wander in for free & from anywhere.

We do appreciate your compliments regarding our staff and the property, and your consideration of the hard economic times the country has faced in recent years. The pool bar’s existence and the snack menu were created in response to guests comments and no doubt the menu will evolve over time. Like all properties and hotels in Greece, if a bar is in operation then it must, by law, be open to non residents who are required to purchase drinks from the bar. 2019 is the first year our Spa has been open; so until guests are accustomed to it’s presence at the Ionian Eye it may seem under utilised.

Nice Hotel with a nice Pool

The Pool area is really nice. The room and the bathroom are tiniy the bathroom only 1 m2. No space in the shower.. There was sometimes a bad smell out of the bathroom. Room service is not everyday
