Amazing Location, Great Price, Great Communication!
Communication was consistent and clear. While we didn't need to discuss anything with the property management during our stay, check-in and check-out instructions were clearly communicated in a very timely manner. The check-in and check-out process was a breeze! * The location was amazing! Nestled in to a quiet community, with a straightforward walk to the oceanfront. Can't ask for more. * The property itself was fantastic! Excellent choice of bedrooms, the pool was clean and refreshing, the bottom floor felt like its own apartment, and the top floor was fantastic to hang out in. Nothing else to add - 5/5 stars, and looking forward to booking through them again in the future.

The location of the house was good… nice short easy walk to beach. The house was a little dated for me, clean on the surface but could use a little bit of a deeper clean and some basic household items replaced. We did love the layout of the house, and the pool was fantastic. Great having a bedroom on the 1st floor.

Nice house, decent location
The house was good, living area on the top floor. The outside needs some upkeep. It rained all week and water got inside multiple times, but nothing unmanageable. Beaches were nice, short walk to the beach.

Awesome Property
This property had everything that was listed and was an easy walk to the beach. Grass was not mowed in the volleyball area and we quickly contacted maintenance and got that resolved. House could use a good power washing as there are many bugs and the pool could be cleaned during the week as with 12 people there is no way to keep it spotless. Also could use higher capacity hot water heater for showering.

Spacious Getaway

Long walk to the beach
The house was nice. The two king beds and the queen were memory foam mattresses and very comfortable!! The sheets were packaged on each bed with packaged towels which was very nice. The pool is a great size it would just be nice if they left a vacuum or had someone clean it during the week. We have a pool so I am picky about cleaning it. The walk to the beach is basically three blocks. Too long for my parents so I had to drive them and pick them up. There is parking at the next beach access but it’s far and my husband and I walked so we used barracuda access. We went to the beach twice and decided to go to the 4x4 beach instead the rest of the week. Location is good with stores close by. Lots of pots and pans for cooking as I cooked 3 meals a day for 6 days. Toaster oven would have been nice but just used the oven. Overall happy with the property. It wasn’t that clean but I cleaned when I got there since tables were sticky. Some trash left in pool area and grill not clean but again we were happy overall. Next year we will get a place closer to the beach. Thanks for sharing your home with us!!

Great pool, nice area
On a quiet street perfect for bike riding, 1 house away from beach access, great accommodations. My only complaint is the one room is supposed to have a queen bed, and it felt more like a full. My husband and I were pretty squished in it. The pool is large and great to have for swimming after the beach. Overall we had a great time!

An amazing week!
My family, my parents, and close family friends were all so happy with our stay. We were all a little worried about the weather-Hurricane Isaias was looming. However, some wind and a little rain and then the day was beautiful! The pool was definitely everyone’s favorite and my son, husband and dad loved playing pool. We only had an issue with the washing machine-the spin cycle would not spin and clothes came out drenched. Maintenance came out, but a part needed to be ordered so hopefully it is back to working. All in all, everyone loved the home and would definitely stay again!

Great stay for a family
We had a lot of fun at this house. We had 10 adults and 2 children and never felt like we ran out of room. The pool was a lifesaver because the beach/sand was so hot so we spent 2 days just hanging out at the house and at the pool. Everything was clean when we got there. We had one mishap with the toilet and management sent someone shortly out to the property to fix it. It was really nice to be able to rent equipment from the VayK company. We used the beach bikes daily and really enjoyed having the opportunity to have them. Would definitely recommend staying there to others. It would be nicer to be closer to the beach but the 5 minute walk wasn't bad. The only hassle was having to use a car to drop everything off. Overall a great experience!

2020 Beach Vacation
What a perfect break from quarantines and face masks. People were considerate keeping good distances between family groups. The pool was amazing since we're used to lots of pool time in the summer. The house had lots of quiet spots and great big open areas for together time. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

Nice house
This was a fine house and it definitely was large enough to accommodate our party (one couple, 6 teenagers). The pool is amazing and the largest pool we have ever seen in OBX! It was sparkling clean the day we arrived as well. The house was very clean and there were plenty of dishes/cookware in the kitchen! Really, the only not so great parts: there is absolutely zero view of the water as the house is backed by lots of tall trees...but...it is located only 1 house away from the foot path to the beach so that was cool. Also, upon checking in we learned that the washing machine was broken and unfortunately could not be fixed during our stay. I understand that mechanical things happen, but it really was awful not having a washer for the whole week as we pack with the expectation that we will have a washer. Really though, not the end of the world and we totally enjoyed our stay! Probably wouldn't stay again in this property again, but only because we prefer to see a peek of that beautiful ocean:)

Great Pet Friendly Family Beach Rental
We had 3 adults and 4 kids (8yrs old thru 16) and a dog. The house was very nice and even though it was pet friendly it did not have any indication that pets were there on a regular basis...no smell or pet hair. All the bedrooms were nice sized and the lower level bedroom was actually one of the best, which is unusual. Pool was large and clean and was a great change in pace from the beach. Hot tub also was in good shape and was hot and relaxing. The upper level was spacious and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and had both a regular coffee maker and Keurig. It has a built-in charcoal grill, which didn't sound great to me, but it is one of the best grills I have ever used (after I cleaned all the left over coals and ashes). It is a very solid grill and there were even a few bags of charcoal left from previous renters. There are plenty of beach chairs and beach toys for kids. The pool table is nice. It is three houses from the beach access, but also three streets in from the beach so you do have a short walk to get to the beach. It was fine except we had rented a 2 person Kayak which was just too big and heavy to bring to the beach everyday. We should have known better but including that in my review just in case someone else is considering the same gear rental. the neighborhood itself is very nice and quiet and the beach is not crowded at all. We had a very nice week at the beach at this house.

Family Vacation
Our family spent a wonderful week at this unit. The house was spacious, well-furnished and created a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere to spend s week of fun in the sun! My only concern about the property was the long walk to the beach. The listings advertise 800 feet to the beach, but the walk seemed longer and included a few sets of stairs over the dunes to access the beach. With two small children in the group the trip to the beach was a bit more than anticipated. Overall, a great place for a family gathering!
