Good home base for fishing
Met up 7 coworkers/customers and went fishing. We used it basically to eat, drink and sleep and it worked great for us. Great area for everyone to hang out at talk and then enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. Located close to a lot of good restaurants as well. Price was a little expensive but mostly VRBO fees that are super frustrating. was roughly 800 for 2 nights but after VRBO fees it turned out to be almost 1800. Hopefully VRBO figures something out for that because it is always super frustrating paying that much more than the per night fee. Again that is nothing against this house. This house was great and we would rent it again.

The home was beautiful and perfect for our group. We loved that we could walk to the beach. But there were not enough towels and washcloths for the number of people that it sleeps and no beach towels at all. Also no kitchen washcloths and only 1 kitchen towel. I only gave 4 stars for the description of the house because when I read it, I thought the house had a pool and hot tub. It is a community pool and hot tub right next to the house. And you only have a good view of the ocean from one balcony. But we had a wonderful time with our family and would definitely stay there again.

Great place
We hosted a group of clients for a fishing trip and this house worked out perfect. Lots of room, ample beds and bathrooms. Only issue was housekeeping was still there delaying us by two hours getting into the house. Property manager was quick to respond. We'd definitely stay here again. A side note for anyone who drives cars that ride low to the ground - this driveway is steep!

Needs Better Housekeeping
One of the main issues with this property, is that they do not disclose that the first floor has outside access, and NO access to the rest of the house. It is entirely separate. So if you are planning to put kids on the first floor because of the bunk room, just know they have to walk obtrude and upstairs to get to the rest of the house. The second major issues was the cleanliness or lack their of. I understand it’s a beach house, but this house needed much more attention. There were areas that looked like they had never been cleaned. I had to vacuum and sweep upon arrival. There was old opened food in cabinets and in the pots and pans. There is a working microwave but the one above the stove doesn’t work…just replace it! The dishwasher rack was broken. Not terrible issues, but just overall felt a little neglected. It would be great for a group of college kids that don’t care about things like this, but for families it was disappointing.

Very nice house in a great town
We have a large group of family members that do an annual vacation together this year at this house there were 17 of us aging between 81 and three years old. The house was one of the nicest we have stayed at. It is well-maintained the icemaker in the refrigerator was repaired between the time of the last gas and when we entered. There are some things from the people who stayed before us. Overall the house was wonderful fourth. Both my sister and I, who are the older siblings agreed that we would like to come back and use this house in the future. Port Aransas is a wonderful town the house is just a short walk to the beach I hope you and your family have a great time as we did.

We absolutely loved this house. Great proximity to the beach and pool, in a very nice neighborhood. We had a small plumbing issue in which the owner was contacted and had fixed immediately. 5 overall stars for location, communication, and for helping my family a great vacation.

Not the best place to stay
One microwave was broken, the clothes washer didn't run and the main ovens temperature was so far off that we burned the pumpkin pie before we realized it. When I emailed the property manager, he never responded. Additionally we were never told that the bunk beds and one bedroom could only be accessed by going outside from the second floor down the outside stairs. Overall, not the best rental we have stayed in in Port Aransas.

Great location. drive way infrastructure of the house can fit up to 5 cars. It was a challenge for me to park my SUV because it is a steep driveway . I have to ask my brother to park my SUV for me. Before we arrive, the owner let us know that there was issue with the washer machine. I couldnt use the washer machine the whole time we were there. 😒There were some other issues that shared with the owner . Hopefully they will be fixed before the next group get there. My family like this house. We may considering this house again for our Port A trip next year.

Location, location, location
The best selling points of the house are location and size (if you need something with a lot of bedrooms, you understand how hard it is to find something with a lot of bedrooms). The house is located just a very short walk to the beach, so it has that going for it. While the house does have 7 bedrooms, the bunk bed room does not have a door, which the description does not mention. The house was not messy when we checked in but it did not have a "just cleaned" feeling. All the common furniture had sand, all the ceiling fans had a layer of dust and a lot of the dishes had leftover food bits (like the dishwasher did not do a sufficient job). We had issues with a missing remote control, and leaking coffee maker that were not addressed. The main level dishwasher would not drain and flooded our last night. Overall, we would give the house a 3 out of 5 stars. These things were not deal breakers on their own, but when considering how much the house costs, all of these things do leave you feeling rather underwhelmed for the price. However, if location and having enough room are what you are looking for then you will not be disappointed.

Cajuns Invade Port A
Our families have been meeting in Port Aransas in July for over 50 years for reunions / vacation. We've rented several of the higher end homes on the island. Tangerine Dream House is the best so far. The view of the water and the size of the top deck is great. The interior of all 3 floors has lots well planned, attractive space. The furniture and amenities are not worn out like other rentals. Parking for 4 cars and a cart. The property manager was quick to respond to questions and get a plumber to fix a garbage disposal issue. Community pool next door. Very little car / people traffic thru this small group of houses. We'll be back.
