Gem by the beach
This is a great spot right next to the beach! Nancy and team are very professional, super nice, and go out of their way to make sure your stay is memorable. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Breakfast was included and offered biscuits and gravy, big deal for us, and the waffles were good too! Pet friendly which was our English bulldog appreciated! He is always ready to meet and make new friends. Definitely would return.

This was an absolute horrible experience. First off, I paid $30 more in pet fees ($113 for the pet fee) than the actual stay ($86) to have 2 tiny, very calm chihuahuas on the reservation - absolutely ridiculous charge. Overall spent $200 for one night for a motel. There were hairs swirled on the wall of the shower left from the previous guests so they clearly don’t clean too well. The actual front desk lady was horrendous in terms of customer service, she had a horrible attitude. They couldn’t find our reservation so she goes “nope don’t have you down today” instead of trying to figure it out - I had to initiate getting this resolved. Then they charge my card for more than they should without even asking when I’m standing right in front of them.

Great place on the beach!
Great place right on the beach! The manager, Nancy, and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The breakfast was great. They provided beach towels and chairs and the pool is well maintained and very nice. The view was magnificent! We will definitely return.

What you would expect in it’s price range.
The hotel has seen better days, our room showed quite a lot of wear and tear. There were also hairs from a previous guest in the bathroom and the floors were not too clean. Fortunately we had some cleaning spray, bleach wipes, and paper towels and were able to clean and disinfect the room ourselves. The staff were friendly, and did offer to move us to another room later on, but we had already cleaned the room we had, so we declined. The hotel is right next to the beach, which was a real plus. We booked the hotel on very short notice so it was good that we were able to find a place that was dog friendly. I will say that the hotel is pretty indicative of what you will normally find in it’s price range on the beach over a weekend, so we kind of knew what we were getting into, thus the average rating and why we did come prepared with the cleaning supplies and personal bed sheets. We did enjoy our stay in Port Aransas, and if you are looking for a good place to eat, try Tortuga’s.

It is steps from the beach and management is very sweet, professional and welcoming. This is our go to weekend getaway stay. We took our toddler, teenager and grandson perfect location.

The Staff went above and beyond in kindness, service and personality. Perfect location, walk to the beach in 5 minutes. An elevator would have been a plus, it was a challenge getting luggage, and beach chairs up to the 3rd floor. The rooms were in need of freshening up (cosmetic) but otherwise comfortable and suitable. Complimentary breakfast was very well taken care of. Never left hungry, always a smile and happy greeting by Niecee (not sure of the spelling). Front desk greeting from Nancy was always pleasant. Looking forward to our next stay.

Everything was great the quality of the sheets for the pulled couches were not very good. Those sheets need to be updated. Hard-working stuff running around the whole time to meet guests expectations. I say this sincerely they need more people. We never had to wait for anything but I could see how hard they were working. We will go back again.

The stay was amazing ! We felt right at home with the warm welcoming that was provided during check in and our entire stay. Nancy was very sweet. The breakfast was great and the staff were all so nice and sweet. This was a last minute trip and steps away from the beach made it all well worth it. I definitely will be staying here again!
