No enough elevators working in our building, only one worked. The sidewalks are very hard to walk, uneven and rocks sticking up which trips people. Everything else was great except for those 2 major issues. Snorkeling was fantastic, the beach was crowded and not enough chairs for guests.

The Grand Park Royale has a lot to offer with a very good staff and scenic location. The restaurant, pool and activity staff were excellent. The area surrounding caters to the port hours with stores and restaurants closing relatively early. Facility Maintenance needs to improve with hot water problems two of the days that we were there, once for 24 hours and a pipe breaking. Two elevators were not operation the whole time there. Despite the inconvenience and it was a holiday weekend, the staff made our trip enjoyable. Management should work on the property issue.

Having three restaurants on site was helpful. However you certainly need reservations, we were told by the one of the hosts it would be 20 min. One hour and 20 min. My sister in law went to see what was going on. They all of a sudden they found a table. They hadn’t filled the salad for a few hours hadn’t taken our order fo sometime. Just awful service and food was cold. Very very poor service by everyone in the restaurant.

Overall I would say the property is fairly average. We had a great time, but were able to overlook some things. Rooms: They were fine, nothing special. They were good size & clean. The shower was big with a nice rainfall shower head but we didn’t consistently have hot water. The view from the oceanside rooms was great. Restaurants/food: Buffet serve breakfast & lunch & dinner. 2 on site restaurants for dinner. Selection at all was smaller & more limited options compared to other AI resorts we’ve been to it. A snack shack by the pool provides hamburger & hotdogs & nachos. Food quality at AI resorts are not always the best but this food was absolutely terrible. We kept trying different things & each time we were disappointed (2 adults & 4 teenage kids). The food quality & taste not only was very poor but we struggled to find food that was warm. It seemed that everything was premade, brought in & reheated (well kind of) Staff: everyone seemed nice but service in the restaurants were slow & you definitely had to ask for what you needed. Pools: Cold & a little smaller but nice. Chairs were fine. View is excellent. Beach is small with a very small cove that leads to a decent sized snorkeling area. The snorkeling here was fantastic & I saw more & different kinds of fish here than our snorkel tour. The snorkeling & that it felt very safe is what made us happy. Location is good being halfwayish between places you want to be. This is a decent resort just eat somewhere else.

Close proximity to shopping, this resort has one of the better beaches in Cozumel for ocean entry. Food is on par with other resorts we’ve stayed at and we have no complaints.
