This beautiful little ~Grade II listed cottage, hidden away just off the village pond, is a haven of calm in this sought after historic village.
Set over one floor, the sitting room with its wonderful vaulted ceiling and exposed beams is central to the cottage layout and gives a feeling of great space, whilst the wood burning stove offers a cosy retreat for the evenings. The kitchen is well-laid out and well-equipped for all your needs, including a breakfast seating area, allowing you to plan the day ahead over a hearty breakfast. The two well-appointed bedrooms have been tastefully furnished and ensure a great night's sleep for all.
To the front of the cottage is the secluded, walled garden with comfortable outdoor seating; the perfect sun-trap for early breakfasts or late evening drinks after enjoying a delicious barbecue together.
Goudhurst is a pretty village that sits proudly in the Kentish Weald Area of Natural Beauty, about 12 miles south of Maidstone. The village is absurdly picturesque and is home to over 200 listed buildings within the village, including the stunning timber-framed inn, standing beside the 12th century church and the traditional oast houses looking over the villages duck pond. The historic high street is home to lots of small independent shops and cafes and aesthetically has changed very little over the centuries, featuring a lovely collection of historic buildings, many of them in the traditional Kentish weatherboard style.
