lovely hotel but silly things let it down firstly lovely modern room but no walk in shower over the bath only with a old shower curtain a screen would be better restaurant no one watching products had to ask for everything needed and wait for it to arrive over 15 minutes for milk and had to go ask again before it arrived went for wedding should be a covered walk way from hotel to golf club only a short walk but if raining or in winter slippery would be soaked or could fall over before you got there and cost of drinks outrageous double our normal price and that was for a single shot of sprits not double would I stay again no

This is a fantasic hotel that seems to be lacking managerial oversight. On check-in the Receptionist was suffering with a severe cold with a high potentially passing it on to guests. In the bathroom there was a foul smell that on further investigation was coming from the shower drain which obviously hadn't been cleaned for a while. Matress protectors and duvet were stained. Thanks for the complimentary bottles of water but where's the fridge? At 6.45am I was rudely woken by the Laundry delivery truck unloading myltiple trollies in to the loading bay beneath my bedroom. It lasted for 20 minutes... I'm now fully awake. At peak breakfast time it was chaotic... three young male staff trying to cope with no logic or order. Dirty uncleared tables not re-set for the next guests, unclean plates at the hotplate, hot drinks machines out of order and out of teabags, the cereal, pastries and bread counter was a complete mess with burnt toast and bagels just left on plates. Where was the supervision... in the foyer doing paperwork and chatting to the cleaner (who for some reason is cleaning the foyer during peak checkout time between 10-11 am). That said, I enjoyed my stay and I liked the comprehensive and tasty full English breakfast. The setting of the hotel is beautiful and the communal area in and around the foyer is fantastic. Thumbs up also to prohibiting smoking outside the Main Entrance to the Hotel. Refreshing to see.

Booked a table for 4 in the restaurant, food was poor and dry, not wurth the money, staff were hopeless as told weddings were on so they were short staffed, bathroom had black mould around the bath and lights out, poor experience for the cost

Clean, tidy, spacious room. EV charging at 55p fix rate isn’t too bad. Reception area has great ambiance (can do with light background music). Lovely serving staff at the restaurant, and the food was excellent. It was nice to have bottled drinking water in the room. It would have been nicer if there was air conditioning in the room and slippers. I will come back.

Really lovely stay. Staff were welcoming. However booked a double room and was disappointed to find it was two twin beds pushed together, with rather a noticeable dip between the two which made it rather uncomfortable when sharing a bed. Also tv did not turn off with remote - easy enough to solve but annoying
